📖 Part 2: Reading – Article

Title: Bridging the Educational Divide

In the 21st century, education remains a key driver of economic and social development.
However, disparities in access to quality education continue to widen the gap between socio-
economic groups. While students in developed regions often benefit from well-resourced
schools, many children in low-income areas still face significant barriers.
One of the most pressing issues is the unequal distribution of funding. Schools in wealthier
neighborhoods often have modern facilities, qualified staff, and extracurricular opportunities.
In contrast, underfunded schools may struggle to provide basic resources, leading to lower
academic performance and higher dropout rates.

Numerous initiatives have been introduced to combat educational inequality. Governments

and NGOs are working to improve infrastructure, train teachers, and offer scholarships to
disadvantaged students. Moreover, digital platforms are being promoted as tools to make
education more accessible and inclusive.

Still, technology alone cannot close the gap. It must be paired with structural reforms that
ensure fairer policies. Advocates for educational justice stress the importance of community
involvement and long-term investment.

If societies aim to thrive in a globalized world, they must prioritize education—not only as a
means of acquiring knowledge but as a fundamental right that empowers every individual.
