Factor Theorem

TR LYNN
When a polynomial dividend f(x) is divided by a divisor d(x), we get a quotient q(x) and the remainder r(x)

dividend = divisor ⋅ quotient + remainder

f(x) = d(x) ∙ q(x) + r(x)

where r(x) = 0 or the degree of the remainder r(x) is less than the degree of the divisor d(x).
