1) Linking verbs (Động từ nối)
- Become (trở nên), appear = seem (dường như), grow = get (trở nên), remain = stay (ở
trạng thái), look (trông có vẻ), sound (nghe có vẻ), smell (có mùi), taste (co vị), feel (cảm
thấy), be (thì, là, ở) + ADJ/ N
- Động từ nối ko bao giờ có dạng tiếp diễn.
e.g: Now, it (sounds/ is sounding) good.
- Một số động từ vừa là động từ nối, vừa là động từ chỉ hành đông. Các động từ mang nghĩa
như sau nó sẽ là động từ chỉ hành đông: appear (xuất hiện), grow (trồng, phát triển, mọc),
look (at, for..: nhìn, tìm kiếm..), taste (nếm), smell (ngửi)…+AVD/ N
Exercise 1. Choose the suitable word to complete each sentence.
