SUBJECT : After Operation Report re: Robbery with Homicide

AUTHORITY:
The operation was carried out under the directive of the Head of the Police
department in Cantilan MPS, pursuant to intelligence reports and coordination with the
Regional Intelligence Division. The basis for the operation was the warrant of arrest
issued by RTC Branch 42, Municipality of Cantilan, for the crime of Robbery with
Homicide under criminal case No. 22671
MISSION:
A. To locate, bring and apprehend the suspect in custody in accordance with
the issuance of warrant of arrest.
B. To ensure public safety and uphold the rule of the law.

C. About 8:00 PM of the evening of May 20, 2025

D. P-4 Linintian, Cantilan, Surigao Del Sur at Bernadette Carenderia.

Background:
a) In May 20, 2025 about 8:00 pm of the evening, a Robbery with
Homicide transpired at Bernadette Carenderia located in P-4 Brgy.
Linintian, Cantilan, Surigao Del Sur, wherein Bernadette Solete,
female, 45 years old, married, a restaurant owner, resident of P-4
Brgy. Linintian, Cantilan Surigao Del Sur , was stabbed after being
discovered by Miguel Guanido, 29 years of age, male, a mechanic, a
resident of P-2 Brgy. Linintian, Cantilan, Surigao Del Sur.
Intelligence Build up:
b) The Cantilan Municipal Police conducted an investigation in order to
determine and verify the report of the incident regarding robbery with
homicide.
NARRATIVE ACOUNT OF OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES:
On May 20, 2025 at about 9:00 PM of the evening, Police personnel
from Cantilan Municipal Police Station led by PINSP Emmanuel
Manuel, arrived at the Cantilan MPS and coordinate to arrest the
suspect.
At about 9:30 PM of the same date, the suspect matching the
description was apprehended at P-4 Brgy. Linintian. The suspect was
identified as Miguel Guanido, voluntarily surrendered after being
cornered in an alley along the streets of Linintian. A sharp knife and a
back pack was recovered including a wallet and a cellphone. The
suspect was advised of his constitutional rights and brought to the
Cantilan MPS for booking and further investigation.
The crime scene was processed by the SOCO ( Scene of the Crime
Operatives), and the relevant evidence, including blood samples and
fingerprints were collected and being submitted to the laboratory for
analysis.
The suspect is currently under custody of the Cantilan MPS and a
case of Robbery with Homicide is being prepared for filing before the
Municipal Prosecutor’s Office.
COMMENTS:
c) The coordination of the operating units was generally effective in
terms of contributing in apprehension of the suspect.

d) It is recommended that future operations in risky areas involved more
personnel and logistical support to ensure the officers’ safety and the
efficiency of its operations.
ASSESMENT:
e) The operation being conducted in accordance with the established
protocols and effectively met its main objectives.
