Academic Interests and Achievements
What particular aspects of Intelligent Robotics Engineering and Electrical Engineering
fascinate you the most, and how did you develop this interest?
Human-robot interaction
Safety
Can you discuss a specific project or experiment related to robotics or electrical
engineering that you have worked on? What challenges did you face, and what did
you learn?
Global Space Design Challenge (briefly explain what it is about)
we were expected to program robots that could identify safety issues and
give out warnings. However, we faced some technical barriers where our
current knowledge and technology weren't advanced enough for us to design
the robot in a way that would allow it to pinpoint the exact location of the
problem area
I learned how to lead group discussions, which improved my leadership skills
and communications skills, and has taught me the importance of team
collaboration. I learned that with joint efforts we can overcome all sorts of
difficulties.
I also learned how to tackle problems in a clam and unflustered way. I
learned how to break down the problem step by step and how to find
solutions.
How have your relevant academic experiences (such as coursework in math, physics,
or computer science) prepared you for studying engineering at the university level?
A-level programs
Battery research (enhanced research skills and critical thinking) crucial assests
I learned how to find and read important academic articles and other
publications
It also trained me to do deep thinking about the topic and to look for blank
areas of research that need to be further explored
Extracurricular Activities
You mentioned participating in [specific robotics club or competition]. What was
your role, and how did that experience influence your desire to pursue engineering?
British Physics Olympiad (Bronze Prize) and the American Mathematics
Competition (Third Prize, National). 重点放在为什么让你更加想要学习
How do you see your extracurricular involvement in technical activities
complementing your education in Intelligent Robotics Engineering or Electrical
Engineering at Poly U?
British Physics Olympiad (Bronze Prize) and the American Mathematics
Competition (Third Prize, National).

重点放在这两段经历从知识和技术层面怎样帮助你更好地学习大学工程
Can you share an instance where you took on a leadership role in a technical project
or team? What was the outcome?
Personal Development
What is a significant challenge you encountered while working on a robotics or
electrical engineering project, and how did you resolve it?
Change from programming tools to CNN models
In your personal statement, you mentioned your experience with [specific
technology or tool]. How has that shaped your understanding of engineering
principles?
The C++ programming language divides our central control system into
multiple classes and objects, and separates the robot programs
corresponding to different functional modules in a modular way, which helps
me to better understand the application of these two important principles of
design and analysis in engineering. We also use the CNN model to effectively
extract and integrate features in the input image, so that the robot can
complete complex walking path planning and implement feedback after
receiving system instructions. This has also deepened my understanding that
computer programming is highly relevant to engineering problems, and that
solving engineering problems requires mastering feasible tools.
What personal qualities or technical skills do you believe will contribute to your
success in the Intelligent Robotics Engineering and Electrical Engineering programs?
Curious mindset
Open-mindedness
C++ language, CN model, A-level lessons
I'm a highly comitted person to my area of study. I stick to challenging classes
or activities even if I don't excel in them at first. I always push myself to my
limits and work hard to accomplish a goal, despite obstacles or setbacks. Such
persistance allows me to maintain my energy, enthusiasm and passion for
what I am set out to achieve.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Curious about the world
I don't have a good control of time, which is mainly reflected in the fact that
when I devote myself to the process of completing something, I will not
realize the importance of the time limit, which leads to some procrastination
and anxiety.
How do you handle criticism or failure?
Future Aspirations
What career paths are you considering after completing your degree in one of these
engineering fields, and how do you envision Poly U supporting your aspirations?
Human-machine interaction 人机交互识别,预防交互过程中出现的问题
Possibility in joining labs, fostering connection with community of same
interest, combine our enthusiasm that promote creativity in the field
课程的学习 equip myself with the necessary knowledge to do research in the
field
设备 resources/ allows me to conduct important experiments and analysis that
will train me to become an expert in the field.
Are there any specific faculty members or research initiatives at Poly U that align
with your interests in robotics or electrical engineering? Why do they resonate with
you?

Electrical vehicles
Cultural and Community Engagement
How has your cultural background influenced your perspective on technology and
engineering?
科技产品是否会忽略人的要求,为了创新而创新,而不是服务于人。中国文化推崇以人为本。应该设计符合顾客要求的
产品。
According to China's cultural background, the design concept of a product
should be people-oriented. When designing products and conducting human-
machine interaction, technical products should be improved from the
perspective of people. Therefore, I think under this cultural concept, I should
pay more attention to the essential needs of people, instead of ignoring the
bottom and essential needs for the sake of scientific and technological
innovation.
You expressed an interest in engaging with the engineering community at Poly U.
What initiatives or activities related to robotics or electrical engineering would you
like to be involved in?
ME labs and association.
Why do you think diversity in engineering fields is important, and how would you
contribute to fostering an inclusive environment in the Intelligent Robotics and
Electrical Engineering programs?
女性也同样有能力,可以带来不同的视角和主意(可拓展人文关怀问题,即人人平等)
可以了解弱势群体、少数群体的需求
未来参加工作作为项目负责人,邀请更多不同的人到课题组做研究
Welcome more people of race and gender to the field of engineering. We can
consider more perspectives when we design products or serve more people
in the world. Similarly, welcoming more women to the field of engineering
can bring novel ideas and innovations to engineering, so that technology is
not only limited to a certain group, but also creates a more gender-equal
environment. If I lead a club in polyu, I will pay attention to whether there are
more diverse groups and women who can participate in the field of
engineering.
Reflection and Motivation

The time i did my battery research?
What drives your passion for engineering and motivates you to pursue a career in
