ACCOUNTANCY, BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT
ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT
Product/Performance Task #1
2nd Quarter
The class will be divided into four groups. The groups will be assigned into four key management
functions.
Each group will select among the key management functions: (1) Planning, (2) Organizing, (3)
Staffing, and (4) Leading/Controlling.
A. Planning
The group will apply the different type of plans: (a) Strategic plans, (2) Operational plans, (3)
Long-term plans, (4) Short-term plans, (5) Directional plans, (6) Specific plans, (7) Single-use plans, and
(8) Standing plans. The group will provide situation on how they will use the plans or provide a sample
proposal using the given type of plans.
B. Organizing
The group will arrange their classmates by making hierarchy of employees. They will assign each
of their classmate including them in each of the position created.
C. Staffing
The group will enact an interview within their group. The interview should be hiring a position.
There will be an employer that will serve as interviewer. The results of the interview should be presented
after the enactment.
D. Leading/Controlling
The group will apply two motivational theories, three modern theories of motivation, one early
leadership theory, two contemporary theories of leadership, and two modern leadership views in
situations.
The presentation will be on Friday, November 29.
The triad will present their product and will be scored according the following rubrics:
