Software Developer Needed
Job Title: Back-End Developer
Location: Omnisport, Yaounde, Cameroon.
Job Type: Onsite, 6-12 months.
Job Description:
We are a company in the healthcare sector, involved in the supply and servicing of medical
devices, headquartered in Omnisport, Yaounde Cameroon. We are looking for a highly skilled
Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js, and API development to join our team in building
and maintaining a robust, scalable proprietary software. The ideal candidate will have a deep
understanding of backend technologies, data management, and the ability to integrate
seamlessly with frontend systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge
technology in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend logic using Node.js and integrate it with
Electron for desktop applications.
Create and maintain RESTful APIs to connect with frontend systems and external
services, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Design, optimize, and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL) for scalable and efficient data
storage and retrieval.
Collaborate with frontend engineers to build desktop applications using Electron,
ensuring seamless communication between the client and server.
Implement best practices for application security, including authentication,
authorization, and data encryption.
Diagnose and fix performance bottlenecks and other backend issues to ensure a
seamless user experience.
Write clear, comprehensive documentation for APIs, database schemas, and backend
workflows.
Work closely with product managers, designers, and frontend developers to ensure
the backend meets project requirements and goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
o Proficient in Node.js and its frameworks (Express, NestJS).
o Experience with Electron for desktop application development.
o Strong knowledge of API design and development (RESTful and/or GraphQL).
o Knowledge of SQL.
o Knowledge of data visualization tools, especially Chart.js.
o Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

o Knowledge of Web Socket and real-time communication tools.
Experience:
o Having experience as a backend engineer.
o Demonstrated experience in integrating backend systems with Electron-based
desktop applications.
o Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for deploying
backend services.
Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
o Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with TypeScript in Node.js applications.
Experience with micro services architecture.
Knowledge of DevOps tools for CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of cross-platform compatibility in Electron applications.
Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
