Introduction
Synopsis
Statics is a subdivision of mechanics and deal with bodies at rest. Course
includes mechanics of particles and rigid bodies, section properties,
friction, virtual work, analysis of trusses, cables and beams.

Course Outcome
CO1 : Apply the principle of mechanics to the solution of engineering
problems.
CO2 : Evaluate engineering problems using basic principles of statics in
a systematic and logical manner.
