ALTERNATIVE CHALK
 INTRODUCTION
Traditional chalk production presents environmental and economic
challenges. This study explores the potential of eggshells and flour
as a sustainable and cost-effective alternative. Eggshells, a readily
available byproduct rich in calcium carbonate (CaCO3), offer a
comparable material to commercial chalk. Furthermore, the
established safety profiles of eggshells and flour in the food and
feed industries suggest their suitability for educational
applications.
 LEGAL BASIS
This study investigates the feasibility of using
eggshells, turmeric (curcuma longa), and flour as
cost-effective and sustainable chalk substitutes. We'll
take a look at their appearance, manufacturing
methods, longevity, and environmental effects
compared to our traditional chalk.
 1. Turmeric ( Curcuma Longa) : It contains curcumin that can act as both
natural pigment and binder.
Flour: Helps the ingredients form a solid structure when mixed with heat
water.
Egg shells: Shells are rich in calcium . Egg shells can help replicate the
hardness and the durability of the chalk
2. Sustainability focusing on non toxic, biodegreredible material. By using
turmeric it helps reduce synthetic chemicals, gives purpose to waste
