"Customizable"
What do you like best about Iterable?

The customer support is great. There are many ESPs out there and lot of them can do similar things.

But the #1 reason why I have stayed at Iterable is because the support, the CX agents and the CSMs I have been assigned are deeply knowledgable and it's reassuring to know that I can lean on them.

Special shoutout to Jensen Huddleston Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

A lot of aspects aren't user friendly

-When you download data from the reports dashboard, it splits each campaign's data so to get the full picture you must add all the pieces yourself. Tedious

-When you run experiments, trying to figure out the winner seems impossible. I don't necessarily need a bunch of graphs, I need to figure out which option won the test.

When your contract increases even though you downgrade custom event storage & email sends, that's pretty insane. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Marketing made easy"
What do you like best about Iterable?

Iterable is the most user-friendly communications channel software I've used in my career. Easy to learn. Easy to implement. Wide variety of features to utilize accross numerous channels. Stays on top of industry standards such as AI, STO, communicaitons preferences and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

Data can be duplicated on the back end. Some content renders poorly on email clients. Would like to understand more about learning opportunities and best practices such as ratio of image-to-text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great ESP, even better people"
What do you like best about Iterable?

Iterable has been great for us in many ways;

- Event based triggers have allowed us to tap into customer moments and deliver personalised messaging.

- Iterable has also helped us achieve greater levels of personalisation including dynamic content (that we can really dial in using the agility of handlebar logic) and personalised STO.

- AI powered brand affinity score allows us identify users at different stages of brand loyalty and target them appropriately.

- Reusable content including snippets and saved content rows rapidly speeds up campaign creation.

- Reporting, list management and templates are also great.

- Iterable has extensive documentation, online training and and online community to offer support.

As much as we appreciate Iterable as an email solution, by far the best part of switching has been the people. We had great support whilst prospecting and on-boarding, and now working with out customer success manager who is readily available and offers great insight and support. Chat support is available on tap and very helpful, with further technical support available if needed. Iterable host a fantastic conference each year, as well as webinars. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

Almost nothing! A small bugbear is the media library (libraries). We create our email campaigns using the brilliant drag and drop editor, but as mentioned also take full advantage of the snippets function, which uses the side-by-side editor. Unfortunately, they use different media libraries which means that storing assets that we use for both would mean duplication natively. Instead, we’re currently using our website CMS, however this could limit how we can take advantage of AI powered campaign building, which is coming soon in Iterable. We’re currently working this through. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Customer-Centric Innovator in the CRM Space"
What do you like best about Iterable?

I really appreciate Iterable’s continuous drive for innovation and its commitment to staying ahead of industry trends and customer needs. One standout example is their upcoming AI Agent, launching this fall. It’s designed to revolutionize CRM management by automating key tasks and providing real-time insights, analytics, and predictions. The scale and ambition behind this initiative are impressive — it’s not just another AI feature, but a true assistant for CRM professionals.

What I also love is Iterable’s genuine focus on customer feedback. During the Marketing Masters syncs, they actively listen to our ideas and pain points and actually follow through on them. Their openness to co-create new solutions with users like us is a major differentiator. It’s clear that they’re building with — not just for — their customers, and that makes a huge difference in the day-to-day experience of using the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

First off, I have to give kudos to Iterable for implementing the ability to save specific design blocks within the editor — this has been a game-changer in my daily workflow. It’s a perfect example of Iterable listening to customer feedback and turning it into real, tangible improvements. Thank you for making that happen!

In terms of future enhancements, one area that comes to mind is the Brand Affinity Insights. It would be incredibly valuable to filter trends by key markets (e.g., US vs. DE vs. UK) and to trace which specific campaigns have influenced shifts in affinity — such as increases in loyal vs. negative users. From what I’ve heard, some of this functionality might be included in the upcoming AI Agent Nova, which makes me even more excited for its launch this fall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Really intuitive platform with powerful capabilities"
What do you like best about Iterable?

I find the platform very intuitive to use. I'm a fairly new user, having started in my role this year, and in a fast-paced email marketing environment, I do not have a lot of spare time to read lengthy manuals. I've found it so easy to find my way around, build and edit emails, and segment our lists to really hit the ground running in my role and deliver improvements quickly.

I find the interface really simple, allowing me to move seamlessly between campaigns, journeys and analytics.

A favourite feature I discovered recently is being able to save and name specific rows in emails, so that I can reuse them elsewhere. This has been of great benefit when refreshing our templates and ensuring that everything is on brand.

As a relatively new user, I have a lot to learn but I have already found the support team, Iterable Plaza and the wealth of FAQs to be a great support.

I'm really excited to discover how Iterable can help us to grow our business and how we communicate with our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

I find some of the segmentation options could be more straight forward, for instance creating non engager segments has been a challenge, as I would expect more intuitive straight-forward options, like "has not opened an email in the last xx days". It almost feels like you're having to work out a double negative to use this functionality.

I wish you could have folders within campaigns and journeys.

It's hard to split out performance results for different types of campaigns, e.g. engager vs non engager. I believe I have to go back and label everything to be able to do this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Deja Darrington of Iterable

We're thrilled to hear that you find Iterable intuitive and powerful! We're constantly working to make our platform user-friendly and efficient for all our customers, especially those in fast-paced environments. We appreciate your feedback on the segmentation options and folder organization, and we'll definitely take that into consideration for future improvements.

"Decent platform, but there are better options with far better service"
What do you like best about Iterable?

The product is well designed and very intuitive for marketers. While Iterable isn't as mature as competitors in this space (Braze, SFMC, etc) in terms of product offerings, they are making strides to get there.

The pure technical-support (ie, cases) aspect has been a silver lining in otherwise subpar support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

There is a distinct lack of platform and domain knowledge as well as limited proactive/consultative skills among the teams at Iterable. Presumably this is a direct result of the limited tenure of employees; itself likely a result of layoffs and other attrition.

The account management and implementation teams at Iterable have left a lot to be desired. If you go with Iterable, I strongly recommend skipping any add-on services and vetting a third-party partner for any implementation assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Deja Darrington of Iterable

Thanks for sharing your perspective. We’re glad to hear what’s working well, and we also take seriously your comments on the need for deeper platform knowledge and more proactive guidance. Our teams are investing in training, enablement, and additional resources so that every customer has access to knowledgeable, consultative support. Alongside your CSM, customers also have access to dedicated implementation resources, Iterable Academy, and our community to ensure long-term success. Your input is invaluable as we continue to strengthen our customer experience.

"Breath of Fresh Air"
What do you like best about Iterable?

I love how innovative Iterable is. They’re constantly updating to provide the best and most current experience with up to date technology Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

Testing journeys and other automations is a bit tough as we have to execute our tests in a sandbox environment. I wish there was a way we could render what would be visible to customers directly in the journey builder and mimic what customers would see if they actually went through the journey. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Deja Darrington of Iterable

We're thrilled to hear that you find Iterable innovative and constantly updating to provide the best experience with up-to-date technology. Your feedback about testing journeys and automations in a sandbox environment is valuable, and we'll definitely take it into consideration for future improvements. We understand the importance of being able to mimic what customers would see in the journey builder, and we're continuously working on enhancing our platform to provide a seamless testing experience.

"Flexible journeys, intuitive segmentation, and responsive support make Iterable a winner"
What do you like best about Iterable?

The interface is easy to navigate, and the journey builder offers excellent flexibility to create highly customized campaigns. The segmentation tool is also fantastic—very intuitive and quick to build unique audiences on the fly. On top of that, the support team is responsive and helpful, even on a lower-tier package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

Sometimes flashy new features are prioritized over simple quality-of-life updates that would improve usability. There’s no way to capture list or audience growth over time, which makes long-term tracking difficult. Our project is userID-based, which complicates searching for individual users since IDs come from another system, and there’s currently no easy way to shift to a hybrid project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Deja Darrington of Iterable

We're delighted to hear that Iterable has been instrumental in managing your marketing communications and lifecycle campaigns, driving stronger engagement, improving retention, and scaling campaigns without extra manual work. We appreciate your feedback about the need for quality-of-life updates and the challenges with userID-based projects. We'll keep working to enhance our platform and address these concerns.

"Straightforward and flexible"
What do you like best about Iterable?

The features are straightforward to learn and utilize, but this is not at the expense of flexibility or quality. The segmentation using both user profile fields and event data is especially helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

I would love to see improvements to Smart Ingest functionality, particularly the speed of the service. The length of time it takes to sync data with Iterable has been somewhat limiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Activate to Elevate: My Activate 2025 Experience"
What do you like best about Iterable?

As an active user of Iterable, I genuinely appreciate its intuitive and user-friendly interface. The Workflow Studio, in particular, makes building complex customer journeys feel smooth and manageable with its drag-and-drop functionality. Iterable’s personalization capabilities are also a standout—it allows for dynamic content and advanced segmentation, which helps us deliver more relevant messaging. The platform’s integration flexibility with other tools and data sources adds to its efficiency, and I’m especially grateful for the helpful documentation, webinars, and live events like Activate Virtual that keep users informed and inspired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iterable?

While Iterable is a powerful platform, there are areas where it could be enhanced. Template management can sometimes feel a bit rigid, especially when trying to build visually rich or brand-heavy emails. I’ve experienced occasional lag or slowness when handling larger datasets or complex workflows. The analytics features, while useful for quick insights, could benefit from more robust and customizable reporting options. Lastly, A/B testing within journeys is somewhat limited—it would be great to have more advanced testing tools directly in workflows to better optimize campaign performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Deja Darrington of Iterable

Thank you for sharing your experience with Iterable, particularly the ease of building complex customer journeys and the platform's integration flexibility. Also glad to hear that you enjoyed Activate! We understand your concerns about template management, lag with larger datasets, and limited A/B testing within journeys. Your feedback is valuable, and we'll use it to continue enhancing the platform to better meet your needs.
