It is a beatiful looking game
Hey, thank you for trying Solus! As always feedback is welcome.
I do advise to not use the drive encryption, as it was bugged AF, it wouldn’t recognize my encryption password no matter how hard I tried
Yeah, this is known issue. We are in process of updating GRUB and Calamares. Also migrate the default from LUKS1 to LUKS2. Hopefully that will resolve this issue.
Cheers!
I gasped audibly when I read the news on twitter. Truly good news. Hopefully the author come back in full health and never got sick again ever.
So….
How’s your kid?
Haaland
averaging 2 goals per game in the qualifiersis crazy.
Indeed, he did. It is 2h30m long though, I have been chipping at it for three days and I am still not finished 😆
Just hit it today when setting up my brother’s phone. It is so stupid to do it this way.
I really want a piefed-first mobile apps. 😄
How did I miss this??? Joined now, 8 weeks late 😆
New epoch, here we come!

what does it mean by Gemini?
I am not sure of the detail but it is alternative to http. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gemini_(protocol)
- Writefreely is the established option.
- Wordpress has activitypub plugin.
- Mastodon (or the like) is probably good enough.
- Wafrn is tumblr like blogging.
- Openwrite is the new kid in the block similiar to Writefreely.
Thunder support for piefed is still on pre-release version, which is only available on github. Just to set expectations properly. 🙂
I like it on the right. I guess I am more "new reddit" UI guy.
Other than gnome, I don't think there is any DE that restrict theming. You can go with Plasma, if you want to use GTK theme then there is Budgie, Cinnamon and Xfce.
Fun fact: Budgie on Solus used to be default using Plata-Noir which is material design inspired theme with pure black color scheme. It is not anymore becase the theme got unmaintained.
Since Gnome 40, you cannot change window theme via gnome-tweaks. You have to mess around with gtk.css file and manually edit it. I am sure there is easier way but I never looked into it.
Talk about virtue cycle :P They really spend two windows worth of transfer money in one go.

Solus and Age Verification (getsol.us) Announcement
We are aware of the ongoing discussions surrounding age verification laws. Privacy and user experience remain our priorities. We have no plans to implement age verification and will continue to monitor the situation. We hear your concerns and understand the uncertainty surrounding these growing movements. This isn’t an isolated issue confined to a single place or country. it’s a complex, global patchwork of proposed laws, each with vastly different requirements and enforcement methods. Right now, it remains unclear which of these will actually become law, how they will be enforced, or whether they will directly affect Solus and other Linux-based operating systems.
