APPLICATION GUIDE AND PROCEDURE FOR ASPIRING CABIN CREW

BASIC GROOMING STANDARDS – MAKE A GOOD IMPRESSION

 Come in complete BUSINESS ATTIRE (knee-length skirts are preferred for women)
 Style hair NEATLY (tie in a bun for below-shoulder length)
 Wear a decent pair of stud earrings and watch. DON’T OVER ACCESSORIZE!
 Full face make up but make sure to still look natural.
 Be mindful of your posture AT ALL TIMES.

(1) OPEN DAY


 Prepare multiple copies of your documents and photographs.
 Arrive early on the venue.
 Have a positive attitude and try to interact with other applicants as much as you can.
 Hand in your resume with your BEST SMILE.
 Interact promptly with the recruiter because they only have about 1 minute to listen to you!
 Reach test: be sure to reach 212cm barefoot on tiptoes
 Height and weight must be proportional
 Take note of further instructions.

(2) ASSESSMENT DAY (Invitation only)


 Prepare multiple copies of your documents and photographs.
 Familiarize company information (History, Destinations, Aircrafts, Memberships)
 Impact Interview:
 Be enthusiastic and not overly confident!
 Know how to share your experiences.
 Practice answering the basic questions…
o Tell us something about yourself.
o What’s your greatest weakness?
o What’s your greatest strength?
o Why do you want to be a cabin crew?
o Why did you choose to apply for our airlines?
o Why should we hire you?

 Timed Group Dynamics:


 Show that you are a team player!
 Always be polite when you’re interacting with people.
 Be open for different ideas and opinions.
 Show that you are attentive and willing to learn.
 Patiently wait for your turn.
 Try to relax, be comfortable and settled in your group.

 Physical Assessment/Check
 Visible tattoos, scars and other body blemishes
 Reach test (optional)

 English Examination

(3) FINAL INTERVIEW (Invitation only)


- Know the cabin crew job description by heart. You have to show that you are really
passionate about it, and not just about travelling.

(4) MEDICAL TESTS


- Series of medical examinations will be done only with the airline’s accredited hospitals or
clinic.

(5) DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR EMPLOYMENT


- For international airlines, authentication of certain documents are required as per
embassy’s policy.
- Once everything is cleared and complied, the airlines will email your joining date. Airfare
expense to the base will be shouldered by the company.
