Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

Describe the instructional activities that will occur PRIOR to the SRT activity and how you will introduce
the SRT activity.
This Kahoot will be used as a type of practice for their math. This not only will help them get faster, I can
see what questions they miss the most as well as the students.

Describe the purpose of the SRT activity (check all that apply):
☒ Assess prior knowledge ☐ Anticipatory set (Create interest in a topic) ☒ To illuminate common
misconceptions ☐ Formative assessment of content knowledge (for purpose of differentiation and
mastery for ALL students) ☐ Summative assessment of content knowledge ☒ Test preparation
☒ Survey/Poll ☐ Discussion starter ☐ “Homework” collection ☐ Other (please explain):

Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity: Students will answer the questions and the
teacher can see who missed what. The students will take 3-5 minutes to complete.

Type of questions/prompts used in this activity (check all that apply):

☒ Multiple choice ☐ Multiple select ☒ True/False ☐ Yes/No
☐ Short open-ended response or fill-in the blank ☐ Longer open-ended response

If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):

☐ Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
☒ Yes
☐ No
Why or why not?
It is very important for the student to study the correct answer for a multiplication or division fact as soon as
they get it incorrect.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?
There will be a First, Second, and Third place winner for the Kahoot competition to answer most correctly
and fastest.
How will the data be used?
This will help me as a teacher understand where students are in their current
stage of learning and see if they are surprised by any of the multiplication or division facts.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. Students to strengthen and solidify their multiplication
and division facts.
Reflective Practice: To prove to students that practice makes perfect and until they know their facts in under
5 seconds they should still be practicing.
