Description This mild gel can be used to shampoo dogs and is formulated without amide.

STEOL® CS-130 (or STEOL® CS-130 HP) 30.0
AMPHOSOL® CA 20.0
Tween 20 (Uniqema) Polysorbate 20 5.0
HALLSTAR® PEG 6000 DS (Hallstar) PEG-150 Distearate 2.0
Citric Acid q.s.
Fragrance, Dye, & Preservative q.s.

Procedure 1. To Deionized Water, add STEOL® CS-130 (or STEOL® CS-130 HP) and PEG-150 Distearate.
2. Heat to 60ºC and mix until PEG-150 Distearate is completely dispersed.
3. Add Tween 20 and AMPHOSOL® CA and blend well.
4. Cool to 30ºC.
5. Adjust pH to 6.5–7.3 with Citric Acid.
6. Add Fragrance, Dye, and Preservative, if desired.
*Note: When formulating with STEOL® CS-130 HP, a greater amount of Citric Acid may be needed to
adjust the pH within the recommended range as noted, than when formulating with STEOL® CS-130.

AMPHOSOL® HCA-HP has not been completed on this formulation, and in addition to the pH
adjustment taking a greater amount of Citric Acid, the substitution may also yield slightly different
physical properties.
