The flow of the lesson:

Lesson Preparation, Building Background, Comprehensible Input, Strategies, Interaction,

Practice & Application, Lesson Delivery, and Review and assessment

Lesson Preparation: The students in the class come from diverse backgrounds with varying
socio-economic statuses. Some learners may have access to modern technology, such as
smartphones and computers, while others may rely on more traditional means of learning and
exploration. The students may also have different levels of prior knowledge and
understanding. Some may have already observed the sun, moon, stars, and clouds in their
daily lives, while others may have limited exposure to these natural objects.

Building Background Knowledge: The students will be motivated through KWL chart, a
nursery song video showing the different natural objects in the sky. The teacher will also
activate student’s prior knowledge by asking open-ended questions like how they interpret or
understand the natural objects in the sky, and they will be encouraged to share their
experiences related to the topic.

Comprehensible input/Scaffolding: The students will be guided in their sky observations by

providing information, tips, or extra samples as needed to help them navigate the natural
objects in the sky. To further enhance the students' artwork, the teacher will briefly explain the
elements of art that can be utilized. Moreover, the teacher will provide examples or samples
of artwork that showcase how the elements of art can be applied to portray natural objects in
the sky. The teacher

Lesson Deliver:

Engage

A. Presentation: This is a cumulative lesson plan with practice and application built
into the daily format. The presentation, practice, and application features are
embedded into the daily lesson.

I DO:
 The teacher will use a KWL chart to activate prior knowledge and motivate
students. They will ask students what they already know about natural objects in
the sky during daytime and nighttime, and record their responses on the chart.
 The teacher will facilitate a class discussion where students can share their
personal experiences and knowledge about these objects to create a connection
between the topic and students' own lives.
 The teacher will use flashcards and sentence-building activities to build students’
vocabulary related to natural objects in the sky.
 The teacher will present the learning objectives to the class.
 The teacher will now discuss important concepts related to natural objects in the
sky. They will discuss the characteristics, functions, and importance of each
natural object in the sky.
 The teacher will explain the steps for sky observations, emphasizing how they can
conduct sky observations throughout the day and night.

Explore

We DO:
 The teacher will let the students identify the natural objects in the sky through a
series of images showing different views of the sky at various times of the day and
night.
 The students will be encouraged to point out and label the objects they recognize,
such as the sun, moon, stars, clouds, and birds.
 The teacher will now allow students to engage in discovery learning by observing
and exploring natural objects in the sky. This might involve going outside and
looking at the sky at different times of the day.
 The students will actively participate in these observations and explorations,
recording their findings and making notes about the characteristics of the natural
objects they observe.
Explain

 The teacher will divide the class into groups and each member will engage in group
discussions to discuss and share their findings and observations. This will give
students the opportunity to explain their understanding of natural objects in the sky
and learn from their peers' perspectives and experiences.

Elaborate

 The teacher will give an individual activity to apply their knowledge and extend their
conceptual understanding. The students will create an artwork to demonstrate their
understanding of natural objects in the sky by visually representing them in their
artwork.
 The students will have the opportunity to express their understanding and creativity
through their artwork, using various materials and techniques.

Evaluate

B. Practice/Application:

You DO: Each day, the students will be given enough time and opportunities to unleash their
creativity by making artwork inspired, as they will have the full freedom to observe the sky
during the day and night, enabling them to finish their artwork that showcases their creativity
and understanding of the topic.

- Adding more art elements to their artwork

- Adding more natural objects to their artwork that they can see during sky observations

Review/Assessment: The class will be divided into three groups. Each group will be
assigned to create collages by exploring and documenting natural objects in the sky during
both daytime and nighttime. Students will then upload their photographs and use an online
application like Canva to compile and enhance their photographs into collages with fonts,
colors, and other design elements. Each group must label and provide short and clear
descriptions for each object depicted. Assessment of skill will focus on creativity, accurate
labeling, and discussions highlighting the importance of these natural objects in our daily
lives.

Extension:
This lesson can easily be extended by continuing to document the clear view of the sky
during daytime and nighttime through artwork and presenting their observations to the class.
This will help students further explore and enrich their understanding of natural objects in the
sky. The standards and competencies can also be extended through exploring and reading
stories or educational materials that provide additional information about natural objects found
in the sky, allowing students to delve deeper into the topic.
