I. Program Title: Math and Science Day (High School Department)

III. Program Date: August 20, 2023 (Friday)
IV. Program Description:
The learners will enjoy learning and exploring the different species introduced to them in the
School’s Mini Zoo organized by selected leaners.
The learners will discover new ideas about outer space, and experience it firsthand through a
Sky Dome.
The learners will improve their skills in terms of mathematical, logical, and scientific
abilities by participating in the Math and Science Quiz Bee
The learners will enjoy watching and learning more about math and science through some
educational films
V. ACTIVITIES
1. School’s Mini Zoo
Selected learners will bring their pets, and with the help of the assigned teacher(s), they will
create a mini-zoo.
All learners who want to view will buy a ticket for 5 pesos.
All proceeds will be given to the NSSG fund.
2. Film Showing
All learners will have a chance to watch an educational movie about math or science.
All learners who want to view will buy a ticket for 5 pesos.
3. Sky Dome
All learners will have a chance to explore outer space through a sky dome.
All learners can buy the tickets on the day of the activity.
4. Math and Science Quiz Bee
There are five groups that will be competing in the quiz bee.
Quizbee participants consist of six members, each representing a grade level.
The group with the most total points after three rounds will be declared the winner.
5. Rubiks Cube Competition
The competition is open to all learners.
The participant who finishes in the shortest time will be declared the winner.
6. Mathematicians and Scientists Parade of Costume
All learners are encouraged to portray their favorite mathematician or scientist.
They will be judged during the program.
