Sister Alice

Tutorial
Paints:
Army painter Army painter
Speedpaint 2.0 Speedpaint 2.0
Blinding Light Blood Red

Over a white undercoat,

paint an even coat of
Blingdin Light over all
the armour sections

Paint Blood Red on to

the robes. Take extra
care where the robes
meet the white arour,
it’s incredibly easy to
have the paint spill over

Glittering Loot Hardened Leather

For any details on the

armour use a detial brush
and paint with GLittering
Loot. Use a little less
paint than you usually
would with speedpaints as
the Metallics have a
tendancy of running into
other colours quite easily

For any straps and belts,

use Hardened Leather. If
you want to shade them a
bit more then go back into
with a second coat in just
the recesses and use a
damp brush to blend
between the coats

Black Templar Gravelord Grey

A single coat of Black

Templar on the shaft of
the weapon breaks up
the gold and white
nicely and really helps
the weapon stand out

Give the blade of the

weapon a single coat of
Gravelord Gret. Make
sure the paint doesn’t
pool too much at the
bottom of the blade
otherwise you’ll end up
with out of place shading

Peachy Flesh Sepia Tone

Paint a single coat of

Peachy Flesh on to the
face making sure the
paint doesn’t pool too
much around the eyes

Sepia Tone is a very subtle

but very effective way of
adding depth to the gold.
Don’t worry too much if it
spills over into the
crevices on the other
sections as it can double up
as sutble shading

Magos Purple Howling Sand

Thin some Magos Purple

down with Speedpaint
Medium (or water) to
about a 1:2 ratio and
paint this over the face
to creat a more
realistic colour tone
for the skin

Paint the hair with

Howling Sand as a
basecoat
Paints:
Citadel Any White Paint
Contrast (I use Pro Acryll
Black Templar Bold Titanium
White)

With a detail brush,

carefully paint the eyes
with Black Templar
taking care not to get
any on the skin around
the eyes

Very carefully paint a

the eyes white, leaving a
thin black line around
the edge to help the
eyes pop from the mini

Black Templar Desolate Brown

Starting with a vertical

line, carefully paint Black
Templar in the centre of
the eye. Once you’ve
established that then you
can work the paint out each
side until you’re happy with
the shape of the pupil

Paint Desolate Brown into

the lower sections of the
hair and wherever it folds
in on itself. Use a clean,
damp brush to help blend
the paint into the base
colour
Paints:
Vallejo
Model Air
Chrome 71.064

With a fine detail

brush, carefully
highlight all the gold
accents, thinking
about where the light
would be hitting each
part

You can also use the

chrome to highlight the
silver on the weapon. If
you want to add a bit of
battle damage then paint
thin lines angeled away
from the blade
