Why I Don t Be A Talented
You Don t have to be a Talented to be Successful
When it comes to student success, basically it s based upon how students perceive themselves by the
praise of their instructors. Though some can disagree with the type of motivational mindset students
can develop. Both mindset and habits of mind give concrete evidence to give the insight how the key
to student success is by showing determination perseverance grit , can go a long way to better effort
towards ones future.
To briefly summarize what the article Brainology describes of what student success is strived to
achieve but by those who don t doubt themselves in themselves what Dweck calls a fixed mindset.
What defines a mindset is the different ways some can tolerate a feedback towards the effort given.
Being average almost my whole elementary years I always thought there was nothing special here. I
guess you can say my mindset was a fixed mindset of the potential I could have given to my life.
The biggest threat to give students this sort of mind set that challenges that some face seem to be
demoralizing not knowing failure is reflective trait that can improve their effort in the future. By
one passage in this article destroys this thought by saying intelligence can be developed opens
students to love of the learning, a belief in the power of the effort and constructive determined
reactions to setbacks . Dwecks tests this by having a class take an IQ test divided those who scored
well were told to be smart, those who
Designing A Sustainable Competitive Advantage For...
As a set of business activities that add value to goods and services sold to consumers, retailing
involves key strategies in order to build a sustainable, competitive advantage for companies
(Peterson Balasubramanian, 2002). These strategies involve identifying a retailer s target market and
satisfying those needs. Through observing the retail strategy used by the company T2, this essay
will ascertain and analyse their retail mix in order to determine the competitive advantage T2 has
and whether it is sustainable or not.

Before T2 can be analysed in terms of the retailing strategy used, it must first be defined as a retail
outlet. It is a speciality, store based, franchise organisation (Reynolds et al., 2007) that was
founded over 18 years ago by an interior designer named Maryanne Shearer (Shearer, The Making
of T2, 2015). Beginning as a retail store in Fitzroy, Australia, it was seen as an opportunity to re
invent tea for the new generations to come; to make tea fashionable. T2 has expanded its reach to
over 65 stores worldwide, including New Zealand. All of the T2 retail stores provide a sensory
experience for the customers, allowing them to explore the immersive world of tea drinking
(Shearer, Philosophy, 2015). T2 s move over to New Zealand occurred in 2013, with the opening of
the Queen Street store. This store will be analysed in terms of retail mix and strategies.

The retail strategy of a company outlines the retailer s target market, the plan that will be
Ode to a Nightingale This essay discusses the numerous...
In his poem Ode to a Nightingale, John Keats uses powerful, distinct symbolism and imagery. The
nightingale, for instance, is interpreted by many to be a symbol of Keats poetic inspiration and
satisfaction. This symbolism can be seen by the vivid descriptions Keats hives the nightingale.
However, the nightingale is definitely not the only item of symbolism in Ode to a Nightingale. In a
short piece of art, Keats apparently has mastered using many different items, phrases, and brilliant,
descriptive metaphorical text to symbolize something he yearns for. Countless pieces of the poem
indicate that he also wishes for immortality and the ability to escape from reality and into another
state of consciousness and the ecstasy of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By an effort of the imagination, Keats attempts to suppress all knowledge of the human

suffering made evident in stanza three. He seeks to completely enter into the ecstasy of the
nightingale s song so he becomes nothing more than an instrument recording the tiniest of
physical sensation. For example, in stanza five, Keats describes the beauty of a place in the most
minute detail. Since he is unable to actually see this place, he is using the sheer force of his
imagination. In this particular stanza, the use of imagery is indeed present. The soft sounds and
descriptions of flowers yield a very enchanting and beautiful atmosphere. Where Keats says, Now
more than ever seems it rich to die, / To cease upon the midnight with no pain, / While thou art
pouring forth thy soul abroad / In such an ecstasy! (lines 55 58), is an indication of how he
believes it would be marvelous for his life to end in such a state of blissful heaven. However, the
irony of this is that, in Keats case, death would mean the end of the nightingale s song. He realizes
this when he says, Still wouldst thou sing, and I have ears in vain / to thy high requiem become a
sod. (lines 59 60). This piece is an indication of Keats enchantment with the nightingale and its song.

The Three Prisoners In The Myth Of The Cave
1.The Myth of the Cave is a parable that examines and tries to explain how one forms their
perception of the world surrounding them. There are three prisoners in the cave and they are
bound to one of the cave falls so that they can only face forward. These men have been imprisoned
in the cave since birth and they have never left the cave. Behind them there is a fire and a raised
walkway and the fire projects the shadows of the objects that pedestrians are carrying. The
prisoners believe that the shadows are reality because these are the only things they have
experienced. However, one prisoner is able to escape and views the real world outside of the cave.
At first he is blinded by the fire in the cave and realizes that the objects on
Compare And Contrast Greek And Persian Wars
Luke Kania
World Civilization
September 18, 2017
The Greek and Persian Wars The Greek and Persian Wars were key events to making Greece one
of the most advanced and revered countries of its time. Although some city states of Greece were
conquered, two of them stood out to hold off Persia from taking over. These city states were
Athens and Sparta. In 491 BC King Dareios of Persia sent roughly 25,000 soldiers to key states of
Greece (Brown, 1). King Dareios s was looking to just gain a foothold in Greece so that he could
soon send a lot more troops and supplies there. Naxos was the first place that the Persians took over.
Luckily, the people of Naxos quickly fled out of their city unharmed when they realized that the
Persians were coming. The Persians continue to easily take ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

So, the Athenian soldiers and some of the people of Euboia who did not want to surrender scurried
back to Athens. The Persians vigorously attacked the rest of the people in Euboia ending in many
lives being lost on both sides and the enslavement of the remaining survivors (Souza, 30).
Furthermore, the Persians next move was to gain ground in Attika by navigating through the
Euboian Straight and docking at the Bay of Marathon (Brown, 3). Here they would have access to
a lot of resources and have enough room to deploy their army. However, Athens did not want the
Persians just walking in on their territory and doing what they want. So, Athenian generals
encountered the Persians right when they arrived. An Athenian army of only 9,000 people
conjugated along with 600 more from their ally Plataia (Souza, 30). They marched to a place where
they could oversee the road that goes from Marathon to Athens (Souza, 31). Here they could tell if
the Persians try to attack and take over Athens. It was a very strategic move and kept the Persians
from moving right in. In the meantime, Athens sent out a

How Shakespeare Makes the Audience Aware of Cleopatra s Infinite Variety in the Opening Act

Cleopatra was a talented mistress who used her feminine charm for personal gain. She was seductive,
lustful, flirtatious, and sarcastic, she had courage, and she was jealous, spiteful, very violent and
impatient. She was a woman of many contrasts, facets and changing moods. Shakespeare shows
these different aspects of her character in the first act then goes on to build on them throughout the
play.

In the opening scene straight away we enter into Philo and Demetrius friends of Antony
conversation, the subject of which is Cleopatra, Philo is not speaking very highly of her saying she
has, . . .a tawny ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Antonyexplains to her that he doesn t care about Fuliva or Caesar but she still doesn t believe it
and shows scepticism by saying, . . . Why did he marry Fuliva and not love her? I ll seem the fool I
am not; Antonywill be himself.

In scene two Antonysays, . . . these strong Egyptian feathers I must break, or lose my self in
dotage. Here Antony is explaining that he needs to break the bond between him and Cleopatra
because he knows she will ruin him. Later in that scene he says, . . . I must from this enchanting
queen break off. . . which shows that he feels strongly about leaving Cleopatra but he is
determined to do it. Enobarbus has a strong and pleasant opinion of Cleopatra and shares it with
Antony, . . . her passions are made of nothing but the finest part of pure love. We cannot call her
winds and waters sighs and tears; they are greater storms and tempests than almanacs can report:
this cannot be cunning in her; if it be, she makes a shower of rain as well as Jove. Here Enobarbus
is saying that Cleopatra is very passionate about the way she feels, she moves from one extreme to
another but doesn t settle in between. He is saying that
Everest Incident Of 1996
May, 1996. Everest. People died, others were abandoned, and those who lived had to suffer with
haunting memories of the mountain. It was nothing short of a catastrophe. It was caused by a
multitude of things, but mostly incompetence, inadequate preparation, unenforced guidelines, and
unfavorable circumstances. Everything becomes a deciding factor when death is involved, and
especially during this perilous expedition.

There are many things that could have been put into play to prevent this disaster. A very important
one is better preparation for climbing. Simple things, like fixing ropes or getting more radios could
have helped immensely, and prevented many deaths. For example, we are shown one possible effect
of something basic being ignored ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The weather, specifically, was awful and intense, so much so that you couldn t differentiate
anyone who didn t introduce themselves. It took a toll on everyone, being such an extreme
blizzard at such an unexpected time. Along with this, everyone was so drained and impaired, and
weren t able to help. This caused a few people to die, as they were unrightfully abandoned; one
example being Beck Weathers. He was left to perish on the mountain about three times, though he
did survive. He suffered a lot, and still does, and due to his unfortunate time on Everest has lost his
hand and a few fingers. The summaries do not lie, when they mention Into Thin Air as being a story
of bad luck . Bad luck was, in my opinion, the greatest catalyst for this tragic journey.

Into Thin Air was very interesting and intriguing for me, most of the way through. I watched a
scene play out, a disastrous scene, and was astounded by the fact that all of it was real. I saw how
all of these perils and dangers played a role in creating this catastrophe, and I realized how
difficult it actually is to get to the top of Everest and survive the descent. It isn t just a simple
climb, nor a trek made easy with technology; an expedition is a life deciding experience, and as it
occurred in this situation small, fixable mistakes, and bad luck, can turn a life long dream into a
The Importance Of Position Information Systems
In order to get the relative position information, laser scanners, radar and vision based systems do
the measurement firstly, and these raw data are get from signals by using signal processing
algorithms. A geometric model is usually used to describe obstacles with parameterized information.
The raw data are bunch of reflecting points in radarand laser scanners or several pixel matrices in
vision based systems. And these data are segmented and clustered into obstacles in the detection step.
Classification step aims at ordering obstacles into different categories for vehicles, buildings, bikes
or pedestrians.

value. This can be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It also includes the ability to provide alarms when the error tolerance of a certain parameter is
beyond the safety set. Dependability analysis yields a confidence interval for a certain parameter,
along with the integrity risk, the combination of probability and severity of the failure incident
(scenario) occurring .

2.3Dimension
Normally we know that position information is a 3 D parameter in a relative coordinate frame.
While, many relative positioning systems are only able to provide the relative position in one or
two dimensions like the driving car we talked above. The laser scanner uses a rotating mirror
around the vertical axis to scan the surrounding environment in the azimuth angle can provide a 2
D relative position ignored the vertical parameter. Cooperative solutions based on Global
Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) are able to deliver a full 3D relative position between
vehicles. Ultra Wideband system is only able to estimate the range between vehicles, but not the
exact 2 or 3 D position by measure the round trip delay of signals emitted from the ego vehicle and
returned by other vehicles.

3.Technology and Concept Battle (Google vs Tesla)

Google and Tesla are two major companies that spend huge of time and money towards their
autonomous development. Google s Self Driving Car (SDC) and Tesla s Models are both capable
of obstacle avoidance but the way of two companies go about implementing this is
Texting Vs Calling Research
Texting vs. Calling
Which is better?

Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, If civilization is to survive, we must cultivate the science of human
relationships the ability of all peoples, of all kinds, to live together, in the same world at peace. The
foundation of a human relationship is communication. Undoubtedly, without decent communication
skills, the ability to form relationships would be virtually non existent. Throughout the years, our
means of communication have graduated from snail mail to email, landline phone calls to mobile
phone communication, and most recently the evolution of texting. What on Earth would we do
without the ability to text? Would we send each other letters? Would we call someone every single
time we have a question? The convenience of texting appeals to society, instead of developing
relationships through the menial labor of talking. Both forms of communication have its advantages
and disadvantages, although some are more prominent than others. While both are forms of
communication, one might argue which is more convenient than the other, which one conveys tone
better, and which one has a more positive societal impact. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

For instance, when texting, the person has to await a response from the person they are messaging.
On the other hand, when calling someone, the response is nigh instantaneous. Of course, when
talking, it is impossible to edit the current conversation. Texting allows people to metaphorically
think before they speak, whereas when calling someone while angry, words might be exchanged
that are unable to be taken back, especially in the heat of the moment. Although numerous things
can be done with texting, contacting an emergency service provider is not one of them. However, it
is easy to call emergency operators with a quick dial of 911. Thus, convenience over safety is not
Ethical Principles Of The Tuskegee Study
Ethical principles were established to help protect the human population from being unlawfully
treated when involved in any type of treatment, research study, or medical decision making. Miss
Evers Boys provide examples, to how ethical principles were neglected to be used throughout the
study. The Tuskegee study lasted a brutal 40 years and ethical principles where pushed aside, to
obtain the evolution of syphilis in African American males. Anyone who is involved in some type
of medical treatment or research deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. As healthcare
professionals it is imperative to understand ethical principles and morals and be able to apply them
to every day practice. The Tuskegee study was an eye opener to many individuals, leading to laws
and reconstructed ethical principles. According to Ogungbure, The aim of research ethicsis to ensure
that research projects involving human subjects are carried out without causing harm to the subjects
involved. (Ogungbure 2011) As a nurse it is important to follow the ANA code of ethics. Being
aware and practicing ethical principles will help with treating the Patient and keep them informed
with their healthcare choices. Nursing in itself can be challenging and everyday you can be faced
with ethical dilemmas.

Overview of the Tuskegee study

The Tuskegee study was an experimental study composed of Doctors, Nurse, Government officials
and the U.S Public Health Service. The study was performed to recognize
Analysis Of Cass Sunstein s `` Simpler `` And A Proposed...
This memo is an application of some of the policy ideas Cass Sunstein has described in his book
Simpler, to a proposed soda tax in Oakland California. The introduction of the tax, contained in
Measure HH (as it appears on the ballot) has been met with stiff opposition by some members of
the Oakland area while others have embraced the idea. Three ideas from Simpler will be tested in
this California case.
First of is a nudge. What is a nudge? According to Sunstein, nudges are approaches that influence
decisions while preserving freedom of choice (Sunstein 2013, p.38). In other words, they are things
that make one act or behave in a certain way, but your resolve to choose still lies within your
power. It could be taxes or fines, according to Sunstein. This Oakland case satisfies the two main
parts of nudges: approaches (one cent per ounce excise tax) and freedom of choice (shoppers still
have the freedom to choose between sweetened and sugar free sodas). So, the city council, in order
to get people to consume less sugar, would want to impose soda tax on the manufacturers (because
they have the tendency of feeling the real effect in terms of cost) and not the consumers.
Consequently, if the council members vote in favor of it, the authorities would have indirectly
gotten its citizen to change behavior with respect to sugar intake, without directly telling them to
reduce sugar intake because it has health consequences. They (the citizens) have been nudged
Away From The Island Cole Analysis
One example of people must forgive in order to be happy is when Cole finally forgives his mom.
He realizes that his mother does love him and quits drinking. She apologizes for the abuse he has
gone through and not have tried to stop it. She wants to start a new life with Cole. She visits him in
the hospital after the spirit bearattack, but also during his second stay on the island she writes him
frequently and expresses her care and concern. Cole chooses forgiveness and grows to love his
mother, even hugging her warmly when he is able to after he is released from the hospital. This
shows that Cole s ability to forgive and move on results in him feeling more secure and is a major

Cole finally showed that he forgave himself for beating up Peter when he brought him to the island

Strategies for International Marketing
Strategies for International Marketing
The process of penetrating and then developing an international market is a difficult one, which
many companies still identify as an Achilles heel in their global capabilities. Two aspects of the
typical approach are particularly striking. First, companies often pursue this new business
opportunity with a focus on minimizing risk and investment the complete opposite of the approach
usually advocated for genuine start up situations. Second, from a marketing perspective, many
companies break the founding principle of marketing that a firm should start by analyzing the
market, and then, and only then, decide on its offer in terms of products, services, and marketing
programs. In fact, it is far more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the years after market entry, therefore, the rate of change in the country specific marketing
capability of the firm is likely to be greater than the rate of change in the market environment, and
firm effects may dominate market effects in shaping strategy. This is particularly important given the
business context, in which the generation of new business is of prime importance rather than
efficiency in managing a relatively stable business. This usually results in (a) entering the market via
a partnership with a local distributor or other marketing agent rather than via a directly controlled
marketing unit and (b) a relatively rapid sequence of changes to the marketing strategy (such as new
product introductions or expansion of distribution) or to the marketing organization (e.g., taking over
marketing responsibility from the local distributor).
Managing a Multimarket Network
From the time a company enters its second country market, it will inevitably be influenced by its
previous experience. The greater the number of national markets in which a company participates,
the more likely it is to seek to manage them as an aggregated network rather than as independent
units. Marketing strategy decisions in one country market may in this case be made against extra
market criteria. For example, price levels may be set to minimize the difference among markets and
