Module: BUAP08 Programme: MBA Student Number: 1814589 Due Date: 19 Apr. 2010 Date
Submitted: 20 Apr. 2010 1450 words

1.0 Introduction
Intel Corporation is one of chipsets maker who is famous throughout the world. It is Intel who
predominate the chipsets industry and the market share of chipsets of Intel is far more than its
competitors. This report will examine whether there are strategic problems ahead and propose
strategies for the future. First the analysis of external environment will be given, which includes

i.e. TSMC, for lower tech products. So the bargaining power of suppliers is low but may increase.

The bargaining power of buyers is relatively low because the market share of Intel is significantly
higher than its competitors. The sales of the chipsets of Intel account for a lower portion of the
seller s annual revenues because the revenue of Intel stream PC Makers(HP, Dell etc) plus emerging
market. So the bargaining power of buyers is low but may increase.
The threat of substitute products or services is low because Intel hold more than 80% market share
in chipsets industry. The real competitor is AMD. Customers may find that it is not easy to choose
the product of AMD.

To conclude the industry analysis, the chipsets industry is oligopoly and it is hardly possible for
other company to enter.

From the analysis that mentioned above, the following Industry driving forces, Key success factors,
Opportunities and threats can be concluded, as presented and explained in Table 2, 3 and 4, below.

Table 2: Industry Driving Forces| IDF| Explanation amp; Implications| Globalisation is cutting
company costs and increasing Brand image| Globalisation can enlarge the market share of Intel
chipsets and build strong brand image.| The demand of fast speed and lower heat of chipsets.|
Consumers want chipsets to be faster and power should lower.| Various product type of chipsets

Achilles the Illiad
Iliad 21.70 135 (Lykaon supplicates Achilles, Achilles kills him)
Consider Achilles response to supplication in this passage. How does this compare to his attitude in
the extracts from the Iliad in your lecture/tutorial readings?

The cruel rejection by Achilles to the supplication of Lykaon in Book 21 represents a fundamental
transformation in the attitude of Achilles. Achilles has become full of anger and self loathing
following the death of Patroclus. Achilles answers Lykaon s supplication by stating, I reject this
childish plea for mercy, and I will accept no ransom. Until Patroclus died, I often spared suppliants,
and sold them abroad; but now all Trojans I catch will die, especially all sons of King Priam!
(Graves 1960 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Achilles has been tipped over the edge by the blame he feels for failing his responsibilities and
completely loses his grip on reality. Achilles no longer adheres to the moral and social standards
that were previously so important to him in his quest for personal glory. The old values Achilles
held are no longer relevant and he has lost all sense of right versus wrong. Achilles atrocious acts
are symbolic of the war raging inside his mind. In his vengeful slaying of the Trojans he is
metaphorically trying to kill himself over and over again. At this point Achilles is completely
obsessed on obtaining revenge by killing Hector and absolutely nothing will stop him achieving this
aim. Achilles is now in a psychological traumatic state of mind.
Achilles wrath reaches its pinnacle when he kills Hector, as he declares, at last I am avenged!
(Graves 1960 22:317). It would now be reasonable to expect that from this moment on Achilles
anger would begin to subside with the relief of his revenge. We would rightfully expect to begin to
see the return of the old Achilles as previously told, but there is no gall in Achilleus heart, he is
forgiving (Lattimore 2011 2:240) however this is most certainly not the case. Instead Achilles anger
is further and even more disturbingly demonstrated by his mutilation of Hectors body. Achilles has
not found peace in his revenge whatsoever instead he becomes more deranged than ever. The death of
Relationship Between Barbie Dolls And The Development...
Primary data will be used to answer the research questions guiding this research. The population,
sample and procedure will be covered in the following sections. Sample The population will be
gathered from all adolescent girls ages 5 15 in Lubbock, TX. Given that children develop a self
concept at the age of 6, 120 African American female children ages 6 8 will be invited to
participate in the study from North, South, East and West Lubbock. This is the equivalence to a
child s first, second and third grade level. Prior to any participant recruitment or data collection,
all procedures will be approved by the school district and written parental consent will be obtained
for each participating girl. Verbal consent will be obtained from each girl prior to each session
where they will be told they can leave at any time if they wish to do so. Sampling Technique
Probability sampling was chosen to generalize the results of the study to the population and
investigate the relationships between Barbie dolls and the development in racial identity and self
concept. A qualified sample was utilized to control who can participate in the study. The sampling
method best suited to gather the participants is stratified sampling to get an adequate representation
of the population. The characteristics of the segments included age, gender, ethnicity and zip code.
In each year group, one third of the girls will be placed in different experimental conditions:
traditional Caucasian Barbie doll,
The State Of The Field
By the advancement of technology within revolutionary eras, music industry has been
experiencing a world of change. To survive and compete with other industries in the changing,
music industry has been transformed since the 00s , which has resulted in a new experience for
the consumer and the cooperation. Because of the fact that appears from most aspect of actors, it
is crucial to analyse the state of the field based on a deductive method as defined by D.R. Thomas
and a theory of referred by Fligstein and McAdams (2011) who have defined three states differing
slightly among unorganized or emerging, organized and stable but changing, and organized and
unstable and open to transformation (Fligstein and McAdams, 2011:11). In general, Igor Ansoff s
theory that Strategic Action Fields acts in response to environmental change is adopted to determine
the state of the field. However, it is not able to be accepted to define the entire music industryby these
terms due to a variety of effects that ancillary industries such as information technology are including
different parts of actors within the industry. Therefore, exploring the terms about whether
established, emerging, and declining is a necessary thing to describe the state of strategic field. The
term emerging in terms of SAF does not fully translated to the field such as music industry which is
established on the whole but contains some aspects within it which are constantly changing. In
result, the entire music
The Daffodils Comparison
Two poems that share or have a similar meaning are quot; The Daffodils quot; written by William
Wordsworth and quot;Miracle on St David #39;s Day quot; written by Gillian Clarke. Both writers
wrote their poems in different times but share a very similar meaning. The poem quot; The Daffodils
quot; inspired
quot;Miracle on St David #39;s Day quot; that William Wordsworth wrote creates a unique situation,
which occurs in Clarke #39;s poem. William Wordsworth had never seen the daffodils in which he
wrote about in his poem. Although with a unique imagination and a few details that he has, William
Wordsworth could use the details and create it into a special and unique poem which sets for a
beautiful scenery. Which allows the reader to participate and feel the true beauty of the scene. In
the poem, a conflict presents itself in the beginning of the poem, when he uses such specific words
that are very contradictory with other parts of the poem such as when he describes not being so
alone, but with other people in the other parts of the poem.
The beginning of the first poem focuses on the writer #39;s use of a strong imagination to create a
multitude and vivid set of pictures that you can imagine yourself. The happiness he gains from
creating these images in his mind, fulfill him up with even more happiness and joy.
Likewise, Clarke #39;s experience is very similar in that it s also heartwarming and joyful, it
involves many people just like William s poem. In the poem, the daffodils by William s technique is
to reconstruct an imaginary trip in which he flies above the countryside. Showing the good side of

Garcia 2 things and the good side of his mood. He describes the location of the daffodils and
identifies them by quoting something he distinctly remembers. Their beauty not only affects him
and his emotions but also the rest of the environment around him. He also comments on the huge
ability that these daffodils have raised the human spirits, and in parts of the poem he makes it very
obvious that he has been completely unaware of the huge impact the daffodils would have had on
him and how William, in the future would continuously visit this imaginary scene he has created for
himself and learn from it. William
The Music And Dance Concert
The World Music and Dance Concert series this year was diverse in their expression of the different
countries represented. For example, countries such as Haiti, The United Kingdom, North India,
China and many African countries were represented during the performance. Between both their
representation of typical musicand dances performed, the concert accurately depicted what a typical
scenario in each country would look like. The atmosphere of the performance can be described as
exciting and optimistic. I was interested to see what the concert would entail; I was pleasantly
surprised with what I witnessed. The first performance was titled Mande Medley. The musical
performance was extremely upbeat and fast paced, and it captured the... Show more content on

Oppositely, while more towards the front of the stage there was a group of dancers performing.
All dressed in different colors, they performed together dancing to the beat of the songs sung.
There were two guys both dressed in white, while the girls all had on colorful outfits. This piece
kept the audience s attention because of all that was happening created an appealing visual for
people to watch. Eventually, the dancers left, leaving the A cappella group to set forward and
allowing them to perform separately. They performed a modern day song that according to the
pamphlet was released in the United Kingdom, and it turned out to be a song that was a chart
topper. The fourth performance can be described as poetry, dance and music all combined. This
section included three separate performances going onstage at the same time. There was dancing
performed by Zelma badu Younge. While the musical portion was performed by Paschal Yao
Younge and Azuguno, and the poem part was spoken by Abla Dzifa Gomashie who moved around
the stage as she spoke. She questions what it means to be, and make a woman a woman. This piece
captured the audience s attention by having separate events going onstage, so nothing was ever still.
The music dictated the pace of the dancing on stage. Eventually, once the music picked up so did
the dancing and the speaking on stage. More towards the end of the performance both women on
stage began to dance
My Summer Camp
It was the last day of my summer camp, the night before my Boy Scout troop would pack all their
gear and leave the coast of the Puget Sound, and go back to the suburbia where most of the kids
in the troop lived. The last day of summer camp, at least at Camp Parsons, was the Hullabaloo.
The Hullabaloo was a great gathering of all the patrols, in a large grass covered area, bordering a
beach and then the Puget Sound. The whole area was dotted with green trees, and was overlooked
by a very large cabin like building, which acted as the meal room for all the troops at camp. The
cabin like building was a dark brown, built on the outside with logs, but on the inside a sort of
insulated faux log. The inside was very spacious and lined up along the walls were about 50 long
tables for the various troops at camp. Even in this large room, there wasn t always enough space
to fit the scouts from all the troops, so it was safe to say that my patrol had a lot of competition.
All the patrols would compete for a trophy (a carved block of wood, painted yellow and with the
purple letters CP stating: FIRST PLACE). Each troopusually has more than one patrol, each patrol
being about 5 10 people, so my troop (of about 25 people) had two. When we were all let loose from
the cabin like meal house to compete in various team building activities and compete in stations set
around the camp (stations such as fire starting, knotting, and building shelters), my patrol started
sprinting over the hills and
Government Censorship
Should governments be allowed to censor information?
Censorship has always been a controversial topic. People will always want to know the truth. The
more democratic a nation is the more information is available. In these cases governments will
usually try to moderate what information is being circulated. By definition censorship is legally
defined in Australia as the official inspection of books, journals, theatre, film, music and popular
media of many forms before release (prepublication) to ensure that they do not offend against legal
proscriptions instituted by governments (Moore, 2013). In this essay censorship will take a
broader term in which it will also encompass instances of when governments try to provide
incentives of getting rid of information, omitting or restricting access to it through other means.
Many people experience censorship whether they know it or not and it is always debated if
governments should be able to censor information. There are a lot of cases where censorship should
be allowed and cases where it should not be. This essay will highlight instances and circumstances of
when a government should be able to censor information.
Censorship should be allowed in cases that involve instances where it is to protect the public or the
nation. Information that harms the security of a country should be protected and not made available
to the public. Under this circumstance though the government should be ethical about the
information they censor and the
