Sprint Breathing Rate
For persons 1 3, as predicted, the heartrate and breathing rate were relatively low with Person 1,
respectively, being 74 20, Person 2 being 86 16 and Person 3 being 73 and 19. The 50m Sprint
resulted in having the highest heartrate for persons 1 and 2, 152 and 171 respectively, and the
Stairs resulted in being the highest for Person 2 at 130. Strangely, the breaths per minute for persons
1 and 2 were highest, at 40 and 39 respectively, whereas Person 3 experienced their highest breaths at
43 for the 50m Sprint, which coincides with their highest heartrate. These trends show that the
hypothesis is correct in the sense that the heart and breathing rate did increase with physical
exercise, however, the hypothesised theory that the Sprint... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When exercise is undertaken more oxygen is used for the necessary organs, therefore resulting in
CO2, once a gas exchange has occurred. When put under stress the body responded by increasing the
heart rate, by enlarging the arterioles and venules to allow more oxygenated blood to flow to the
necessary muscles and decreasing the size of ones that weren t as important. In order to keep up
with the demand for oxygenated blood, the breathing rate increased drastically. The method was
relatively effective for recording the necessary data. However, some modifications had to be made
such as: the amount of laps on the stairs. This changed to two laps, as once was believed to not
provide enough varying data. The method could have been improved by ensuring that, once
completed, the person performing was at or very close to their resting heart and breathing rate before
commencing the next exercise as this would be one factor in providing inaccurate results. Another
improvement is that, rather than running a certain amount of time (stairs), the person would run for
a length of time and then test their heart and breathing rate as some people may not finish, and
therefore put their body through enough stress, to provide difference within their
Persuasive Speech On Cell Phones
Did you know that the cancer government, the federal communications commission s says that
hundreds of millions of Americans uses cell phones, and cell phones can cause you to have brain
tumors? Did you also know that both adults and children spend most of their time on phone?
When using your phone, it might give you a neck problem because in respect to cancer, concern
focuses on whether cell phones might increase the risk of brain tumors in the head and neck area.
But let me tell you something, as many of us use our phones daily, do we ever stop and think it
might affect our body? No because we are so into social media and playing games that we don t
have time to think that it s going to affect us. People say that phones are safe and other say they
aren t. I say that they can be safe at some time it can also depend what you do, and how long you
use it for. Therefore, many of us get distracted easily and it s pretty hard to get back on track. In
1973, the first portable cell phone was discovered, due to the cause that cell phones may not be
safe at some time cell phones are also very important because in case of an emergency you will
have a device with you. A second argument is that, do children those that are under age of 10
necessarily have to own a device? How is it even right for children to use electronicsat their age?
Whenever am outside and when I pass by kids using electronics, their little fingers tapping on that
pricey miniature screen instead of holding the hands of their parents or whoever else is
accompanying them. But now, many kids ignore us and focus on their electronics, and this is not
fair. About an hour or two is fine for them. But what I had realize when am in parties is that their
parents give their little kids electronics so the adults can have fun and drink. This is the argument
that I trip about because you shouldn t give a kid an electronic instead you should take your kids to
the park or something, keep them distracted from an electronic that can ruin their vision. Another
thing that I realize is that half of you parents don t check what your kids are doing and watching.
Well this phone issue basically goes for everyone. But since kids are vulnerable and easily
influenced they
Iago Revenge In Othello Essay
For the second object that Iago used to exact revenge on Othello is Michael Cassio. Cassio is a
good looking, good mannered, and well educated courtier, but his weakness is he cannot control
himself when he drinks alcohol. So, Iago knew how could he take advantage of Cassio. He asked
Cassio to have drinks with him, and gets Cassio drunk. Once Cassio is drunks, he then sends
Roderigo to fight with him. Iagoshows the audiences what is he thinking about Cassio in his
soliloquy, If I can fasten but one cup upon him, with that which he hath drunk tonight, already, he

second in command. After the fight, Cassio loses his position as a lieutenant, and it makes Iago
happy and successful that he can bringing Cassio down. Cassio came to ask Iago s suggestion and
Iago gave him hope by telling him to go ask for help from Desdemona to convince Othello to give
his position back, which is Iago s second
Advantages Of Learning To Read And Write Essay
Learning to Read and Write

Discrimination will always be in the world and when it comes to schools its even worst. We cannot
even go to school without some type of racial slur being said to you. The Justice Department here in
society can investigate these types of action against someone not getting into school based on their
skin color or national origin.
There are a lot of people who believe that discrimination have disappeared and that s not just true.
There is an unfair advantage here and that s not being able to go to school to learn to read and
write. Just like Frederick Douglass said, I succeeded in learning to read and write ( Douglass
184). Minorities are still being mistreated, when it comes to learning in school. Frederick Douglass
has to learn from his mistress to read and write. ( Douglass 185). All races, ethnicity and people of
color should be able to learn and get an education. It seems to me all the education was going to all
the Caucasians children and just like Douglas offered children bread in exchanged for knowledge (
Douglass 185).
Every student has the right to an education free from discrimination that provides a quality
education to learn. Discrimination is always occurring, when people are treated unfairly because
of how or what they look like. In schools, discrimination can make it difficult for students to learn
because they don t feel safe or accepted. Frederick did not feel safe, so his mistress taught him to
read ( Douglass 185). As such, finding ways to fight discrimination is essential to ensuring students
educational opportunity. Frederick Douglass got his opportunity by learning to write because of the
ship board timber that was used for letters ( Douglass 188).

Its hard for African American students to be treated fairly in school because of their color. They do
not want to see African American get ahead of game, when it comes to education because the society
feels as though we would on top and they wants us at the bottom. We already knew that African
Americans were disproportionately affected, but now its Latino students as well and LGBT
community.
During the era of slavery in the United States, the education of African Americans, enslaved and free,
was often

Analysis Of Garden Valley Hunger Center
You don t forget the face of the person who was your last hope. Collins In the span of a few
months, I have had the privilege of helping with programs that work toward ending hunger in
Northeastern Ohio. I worked at three places, and they all have a great impact on the community they
serve. Working with the people there, I gained a better understanding of how people become food
insecure and how important these programs are. The kindness I was shown is astonishing, and being
shown this affection made me build strong emotional connections to those I was helping.
Volunteering at these centers gave me a lot of hope that diminishing hungerinsecurity is possible.
The first place I volunteered was Garden Valley Hunger Center (GVHC). The... Show more content

She gives me hope that there will be a change in society that will focus on ebbing hunger insecurities
in America. Another program that I believe will eliminate hunger is the St. Pats Hot Meal Program.
St. Pats is a church that serves hot meals to the community multiple times a week. When a group of
peers and I got there, we spent some time with the kids that showed up while the kitchen was getting
ready for the meal. We brought them coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, puzzles, and
checkers. I sat across from a little boy who kept almost falling asleep. His grandma explained to
me that he does not usually act this way. He is usually a ball of energy who bounces off the walls,
but that day he did not have the energy because he was hungry. No matter how hard I tried to
distract him with coloring or even a conversation, he could not stop thinking about how hungry he
was. It made me really sad to think that someone s hunger could be so bad that they cannot do
anything. Food is a necessity, and being deprived of it can make you feel less human. I hate that in
this rich, industrialized nation, there are severe problems. We need to focus on ending hunger in
America, and places like St. Pats will help do that. We need to support these programs and expand
them to reach all of the hunger insecure. By building upon these programs, we Ohioans
Staphylococcus aureas versus Methicillin Resistant...
From Staphylococcus aureus to MRSA

Abstract
I investigated the difference between Staphylococcus aureas and its super bacteria form of
Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureas. I used books, websites, and scholarly projects to
understand the topic at a molecular level. After researching penicillin, Staphylococcus aureas, and
Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureas, I found that both the drug and the bacteria use enzymes
as their defense and attack mechanism. Penicillin uses a ß lactam ring as a substrate to clog the
active site of transpeptidase, and in defense, the bacteria uses ß lactamase to break down the ß
lactam ring. I hope to continue research on super bacteria to determine whether or not other super
bacteria ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
B lactam Antibiotics and Bacteria
To understand how MRSA works against antibiotics, we must first look at the cell wall and how
antibiotics work. The cell wall is designed to maintain the cell s shape and to keep the inner
workings of the bacteria safe. Without a cell wall, the bacteria could not survive. The wall of a
bacterial cell can fit into two major categories: gram positive and gram negative. Staphylococcus
aureas is a common example of a gram positive bacteria. Gram positive bacteria is made up of
polymer layers of peptidoglycan connected by amino acid bridges. Peptidoglycan is a polymer
made of Nacetylglucosamine and N acetyl muraminic acid, or for the purpose of convenience,
NAG and NAMA. [6] These layers of polymers are cross linked with amino acids as shown in the
diagram below. The polymers are connected and layered by an enzyme known as transpeptidase.
The enzyme is responsible for catalyzing the reaction that cross links the cell wall to make it
strong.[1] Making the cell wall is easily one of the most basic and essential processes that takes place.
[6]
Penicillin and Methicillin, two antibiotics used to treat Staphylococcus aureas, are known as ß
lactam antibiotics. They prevent the bacteria from forming a cell wall.[1] The
NAM of the peptidoglycan leaves residue of D alanyl D alanine which bind to the transpeptidase in
order to cross link the chain. ß lactam antibiotics

Recall Terms and Definition

Market withdrawal of a product is the removal or correction from channels of distribution of any
product where no legal violations have occurred, or only minor violations that under normal
circumstances would not be subject to legal action, e.g. normal stock rotation practices, incorrect
barcode, tampering without evidence of manufacturing or distribution problems, etc.

Stock recovery is a firm s removal or correction of a product that has not been marketed or that has
not left the direct control of the firm. For example, the product is located on the premises owned
by, or under the control of, the firm, and no portions of that lot have been released for sale or use.

A product safety investigation is an internal trace of product origin/history prompted by notification

by the FDA or a customer or quality control/production personnel that there may be a potential
cosmetics quality or physical defect in a specific product. The facts of the investigation will
The Big Bang Model And The Steady State Model
The Universe

Joyce Claiborne

Abstract

For many years there has been a mystery on how the universe began. There are questions about the
ending of the universe and how. Hypothesis called cosmological that try to find the answer were
constructed by astronomers. The Big Bang model and the Steady State model are the two that were
constructed. These two models claims to explain the beginning and the ending of the universe. The
Big Band claims that about 15 to 20 Billion years ago, the universe violently exploded in to being,
there was an event called the big bang and began expanding rapidly. The Steady State Model claims
the universe has always ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The story of the universe can be traced back to it very first instants, according to the Big Bang
theory of its origins. In the Big Bang model, the universe was once infinitely small, dense and hot.
The radiation and matter of that early stage rapidly expanded and cooled. It condensed into
galaxies several million years later. It was not an explosion of matter into space, but an expansion
of space itself, and in the beginning, it brought time and space into existence. It is observe today by
astronomers that the universe is still expanding. Universe, Martin Rees September 17, 2012,
Penguin Publisher. In 1929 Edwin Hubble was able to correlate the distance in the universe with
their velocities, a relation known as Hubble s Law. Big Bang theorists later used this information to
approximate the age of the Universe at about 15 billion years old, which is consistent with the other
measurements of the age of the universe. According to radio astronomers Arno Penzias and

Robert Wilson in 1964 they discovered a microwave signal buried I their data. They attempted to
filter out the signal, assuming that it was merely unwanted noise, however, they had inadvertently
discovered the Cosmic Microwave Background. The CBM had been predicted by a theory that a
few believed at the time call the Big Bang. This discovery was first evidence that the Universe

Recidivism Is An Important Part
Recidivism is an important part and essentially one of the main problems of the criminal justice
system. Recidivism occurs anytime an individual reverts to committing illegal activities, after they
have endured some form of punishment for a previous (if not the same) crime. Every neighborhood
and every community experiences crime. Every community sends its criminals away and once their
time is served they are released back into that same community. Under the canopy of recidivism,
regardless of the specific type of crime, the issue if not changed will continue to perpetuate crime.
While not every criminal reverts, problems within the criminal justicesystem are facilitating
recidivism.
To be considered a recidivist, a person that was once ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reasoning behind these harsher sentences is that putting people in prison for years or even
decades should prevent offenders from re offending by incapacitating them and/or deterring would be
offenders from committing crimes (Wright, 6). The theory of deterrence and the aim of
incapacitation are well intended but are not concrete. Deterrence theoretically operates by
magnifying the certainty that there will be punishment for crimes. In hopes of deterring non
offenders from offending taking into account the consequences (usually confinement). Research to
date generally indicates that increases in the certainty of punishment, as opposed to the severity of
punishment, are more likely to produce deterrent benefits (Wright, 1). The seriousness of the penalty
should prompt the possible offenders to think twice or weigh their options prior to carrying out a
crime. Half of State inmates and a third of Federal prisoners reported committing their current
offense under the influence of alcohol or drugs (Mumola). This works against the deterrence theory
because while the individual is under the influence their thought process is dysfunctional. There isn t
a sound thought process in their mind while committing or before deciding whether or not to commit
the crime. Therefore, it is unlikely that such persons are deterred by either the certainty or severity
of punishment because of their temporarily impaired capacity to consider the pros and cons of
