Descriptive Essay About Drummer
By definition a drummer is a person or persons who plays a drum or drums, but I classify a true
drummer as someone with patients that carries the song to give it a rhythmical beat. There re many
drummers out there and all of them are the same and some are different I identify myself as one of
the different drummers. Some may ask what makes me different from other drummers? What makes
me different from many other drummers is that I taught myself how to play without any professional
lessons just youtube, me, and my younger cousin that s all I had to teach me how to play. That wasn
t easy which brings me to the misconceptions that people have about drummers, a lot of people think
that the drums are easier to learn how to play than any other instrument when it requires the same
amount of hard work and dedication. I don t own a drumwhich makes it even harder to practice but
when I was practicing I had to learn a lot of information and techniques just like any other
instrument. I had to learn how to move my left foot and right foot at separate times, how to move
my hands differently, and what drums made what sound. All of those are things anyone should learn
when playing an instrument, for example learning how to play the piano. When being a drummer I
must know all the equipment and how to fix or construct it when necessary. There are eleven basic
parts of the drums that make up the equipment not counting the drum sticks that I obviously need.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder ( Npd )
Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Background
Narcissism can be defined as a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own
importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of
ultra confidence lies a fragile self esteem that s vulnerable to the slightest criticism (Narcissistic
personality disorder, n.d.). With this disorder people generally are unhappy and disappointed when
they are not privileged to special favors or given admiration they believe they deserve. With
narcissistic personality disorder problems in many areas of life can arise such as work, school,
financial affairs, and relationships.
Signs and Symptoms
Signs and symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) are based on nine criteria from the
Diagnostic and Statistical Manual fifth edition. The criteria includes a grandiose sense of self
importance, a preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal
love, believes that he or she is special and unique and can only be understood by, or should
associate with , other special or high status people , requires excessive admiration, has a sense of
entitlement, is interpersonally exploitative, lacks empathy, is often envious of others or believes that
others are envious of him or her, shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitude (Narcissistic
personality disorder, n.d.). When looking for signs and symptoms for this disorder, only five of the

Commercial Fixtures Case
Commercial Fixtures Inc. + Business valuation overview Suggested questions for the
Commercial Fixtures Inc. case are given below. 1. What would you as an outside third party bid
under the same conditions (with the same information) for the entire company (both halves)?
Why? 2. What do you expect Albert Evans to bid for Gordon s half interest? Why? 3. What
should Gordon Whitlock bid for Albert s half interest? Why? 4. How would you structure the
purchase of the business? Question #1 is a business valuation question. There are a number of
ways to estimate the value of a business. You have probably covered one or more of these ways in a

(A five year horizon is common, but this can vary.) Typically you will use the WACC as your
discount rate. Depending on the circumstances, the estimated cash flows may be available for
fewer than five years, or more than five years. b.Estimate the PV of the terminal value. One
estimate for the terminal value involves assuming perpetual cash flows after the initial time
horizon, e.g.: i.If the cash flow after 5 years is expected to grow at a rate g for the foreseeable
future: Terminal Value5 (TV5) = FCF6 /(k g) = FCF5 (1+ g) / (k g)., where k is the required rate
of return. You must discount the TV to time 0, and then add this to the PV of the FCFs during the
projection horizon. ii. If the cash flow at the end of 5 years is not expected to grow, i.e., g=0,
then the general formula collapses to the PV of a no growth perpetuity: Terminal Value5 = FCF6
/ (k g) = FCF5 (1+ g)/(k g) = FCF5 / k c.Use the Value of the Firm equation above, i.e. sum PV of
free cash flows + PV of terminal value . The Value of the firm s Equity = Value of the Firm Debt
Currently Outstanding. 3. (ii.) Adjusted Present Value approach we will only briefly discuss this
approach; a topic for a future finance course. 4. Comments on Valuing the Firm using DCF (or

Argumentative Essay On The 8th Amendment
You don t have to worry about a criminal committing the same crime twice, why? Because they won t
be alive to even think about it!. The Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution states
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments
inflicted. , in other words, it protects American citizens from excessive or unnecessary punishments,
fines, and bails. However, the death penalty is still an exception to cruel and unusual punishments
when the punishment does not violate the standards of the Eighth Amendment. Based on the
creation of death penalty in the eighth amendment, the constitution can be claimed as an
inconsistently valuable but viable document in modern America. The death penalty also known as
capital punishmentis one that brings a lot of controversies but at the same time has been practiced
throughout history in different forms and styles.
Based on the research I did on various documents and articles that came from the schools library
database system, I was able to find out that the death penalty was officially passed and recognized
as the eighth amendment in 1791 as a part of the bill of rights, but based on the American
Government library database, The death penalty has a long history. Hammurabi s Code and the Old
Testament of the Bible both provided for it. It was practiced in both ancient Greece and Rome.
Capital punishment persisted into the Middle Ages when it was often applied to heretics,
Business and the Economy
Business and the Economy
1. Business is one of the principal elements fueling the economy and the way that functions reflects
on society as a whole. Businesses are responsible for the creation of a competitive market and it is
only safe to say that they make it possible for a community to achieve economic progress.
Individuals in a competitive environment feel pressured to act as effectively as possible and they are
thus enabled to put across behavior that contributes to the wellbeing of the economy. Even with the
fact that businesses are not exactly meant to cause a great deal of social benefits, they are
nonetheless essential in keeping the economy alive.
Although it would be absurd to claim that businesses has a moral role in society, one can claim that
it is one of the most important tools assisting people achieve progress. Many people experience
stress as a result of their involvement in the economy, as they are unable to keep up with the fact that
it is constantly growing and they end up being unable to sustain themselves.
2. In spite of the fact that people generally focus on public and private entities when they think
about the economy, nonprofit organizations are also an important actor in the economy. Public
institutions are in charge of producing goods and services that are generally considered to be
wanted by everyone. Private agencies focus on providing people with personalized goods and
services and are largely dependent on market competition in order to
Animal s People
We have discussed several major themes so far in the course. Amongst them is a theme I took a
particular interest in decolonial love. For me, decolonial love is about not allowing neocolonial
ideologies dictate who and what you love. It is also about recognizing our privileges and resisting
the need to claim we understand the needs of others. The power of storytelling in Animals People, as
well as in Islands of Decolonial Love, forces us to step outside of ourselves and truly listen. This is
essential in the process towards decolonial love. It is also a significant step away from oppressive
and violent attitudes. In order for effective resistance against toxic power structures to occur and for
environmental justice to be felt, political, social, and cultural engagement and understanding
between members of different communities is needed.
Animal s People is based on the Bhopal gas leak disaster of 1984. Thousands of people lost their
lives that night and thousands more were injured and acquired illnesses. Years later, the people of
Khaufpur (Bhopal) still experience suffering and injustice due to the negligence from corrupt Indian
politicians and the American Kampani (Union Carbide). The narrator and protagonist of the story is

I will be drawing from examples and ideas from the story in order to create this speech. I will be
writing about the environmental injustices that the people have endured for many years thanks to
the globalized power structures such as Union Carbide. The land, water, and people are still
contaminated by the toxic gas many years after the incident occurred. I will also be writing about the
need for full mind and body engagement and activism. It is essential to fully understand the people
and commit to the struggle against these power structures if we wish to see meaningful change
Persuasive Speech On Roaches
Roaches can be one of the most persistent of all household pests. Getting rid of them on your own
can seem like absolute frustration. If you ve tried, then you already know how difficult this disease
carrying pest can be to get rid of.
While there are store shelves full of do it yourself products, sometimes the only solution is consulting
with a licensed pest control professional. Even the most dutiful use of over the counter products
cannot guarantee a completely roach free home.
Once you ve contacted an expert for assistance in eradicating your roach trouble, there are some
important things you need to do yourself to keep these disease carrying nuisances away for good.
Once you ve had your home cleared of these uninvited guests, here are three suggestions to help you
keep them out.

But, roaches are cold blooded insects, so they are able to actually slow their metabolic rate down
to a level of near starvation. Some reports state that roaches can go as long as 30 days without any
food.
If you kept your food sealed up, your counters clean, but still are experiencing a roach dilemma, you
may also have a water problem. Roaches cannot survive without some source of water.
A roach can feed on plywood, cardboard, or pressboard if they are the least bit damp. A negligible
drip under your sinks can supply a family of roaches sufficient hydration to manufacture a colossal
infestation.
As odd as it might seem, roaches are also nearly impossible to drown. Roaches can live in your
drainpipes if you have even the smallest clog. Fix leaks, keep your drains flowing freely, and
eliminate as many sources of standing water that you can. Roaches cannot survive without water,
and once your bug professional has treated your home for them, be helpful and keep be watchful for
unnecessary water
John Locke s Views On Education
John Locke was a philosopher, doctor and political theorists of the 17th century. He was one of the
founders of the school of thought known as British Empiricism. Mr. Locke made foundational
contributions to modern theories of limited, liberal government. He was also influential in the areas
of theology, religious toleration, and educational theory. During his services at Shaftesbury, John
Lockehad been writing. He published all of his most significant works within six years of following
his return to England. Locke s Essay Concerning Human Understanding outlined a theory of human
knowledge, identity and selfhood. In his Thoughts Concerning Education, Locke argued for a
broadened syllabus and better treatment of students. Ideas that... Show more content on

Later life he attacked boarding schools for their overemphasis on corporal punishment and for the
uncivil behavior of pupils. Between 1652 and 1667, John Locke was a student at Christ Church,
Oxford, where he focused on the standard curriculum of logic, metaphysics and classics. He also
studied medicine extensively and was an associate of Robert Hooke, Robert Boyle and other
leading Oxford scientists. Locke spent his final 14 years in Essex at the home of Sir Francis
Masham and his wife, the philosopher Lady Damaris Cudworth Masham. Locke suffered from
health problems for most of his adult life. In particular, he had respiratory ailments which were
exacerbated by his visits to London where the air quality was very poor. His health took a turn for
the worse in 1704 and he became increasingly debilitated. He died on 28 October 1704 while
Damaris Masham was reading him the Psalms. He was buried at High Laver, near Oates. He wrote
his own epitaph which was both humble and forthright. John Locke was one of most influential to
educationalist theory. They believed that children were born as blank slates , beginning their lives
morally neutral. From this point of view, infants were neither inherently good or inherently evil. A
child s nature and personality would develop over childhood, a period of time during which the
educationalists believed a child was particularly impressionable. Adults surrounding a
The Center Of Gravity In Carl Von Clausewitz s On War
Carl von Clausewitz, a 19th century military theorist, in his work On War describes all theories of
warfare, but he points out one that is important to all military strategists and leaders in warfare, and
that is the Center of Gravity. Clausewitz describes the center of gravity as the hub of all power and
movement, on which everything depends. Moreover, he emphasizes that keeping the dominant
characteristics of both belligerents in mind, a center of gravity will develop, and that is the point
where all efforts of attack against enemy should be concentrated because everything depends on it.
Furthermore, Clausewitz recognizes three possible centers of gravity; destruction of the enemy s
army, seizure of capital or some other important... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
army, more precisely Union army, applied Clausewitz s center of gravity theory in its strategy to
defeat the enemy and end the war. During the campaign against the South army, General U.S.
Grant applied strategy of annihilation to defeat its opponent. The strategy was not producing
desired results, thus question arose if something else can be done to win the war when battles no
longer delivered Napoleonic decisive victory. Therefore, center of gravity arose when Grant
realized that war against enemy s resources could be the way ahead when other means were
unsatisfactory. He ordered General T. W. Sherman to continue with his attacks even stronger on
enemy s resources realizing that indirect means could deprive enemy of economic and people
support to maintain its army, and without one, his armies would collapse. Grant realized what his
predecessors failed to recognize, that everything that supports enemy s army, from slaves, crops
and stock to the ammunition and arms, is a weapon in its hands. Moreover, Grant realized he was
fighting a people s war and they must be defeated if the war should be won. After change of its
strategy, Grant with Sherman continued attacks on enemy s supplies and minds seizing its support
stronghold Atlanta, terrorizing people and destroying all enemy s support resources, which
eventually led to collapse of the enemy armies under their own weight. Analyzing this example, it
is evident that Grant successfully applied one of Clausewitz s centers of gravity, seizure of his
capital if it is not only the center of administration but also that of social, professional, and political
activity, to change the course of the war and secure victory. Grant recognized that the people and
their support were the center of gravity that needed to be destroyed, and he successfully applied it in
to its military
Essay On NSA Snooping
Government Surveillance:
Stop NSA Snooping The National Security Agency can find out much more about someone than
you think. The NSA must stop its intrusion of our privacy. This is a direct violation of our fourth
amendment, which states that citizens should be allowed their confidentiality. Not only is it a
blatant attack on our liberty, but also just unorganised. Just like weapons left overseas, in the same
way Al Qaeda repurposed the Afghans weapons, the software the NSA uses can be collected by any
evildoer. When Edward Snowden released information of the mass NSA surveillance Americans felt
betrayed. The NSA s illegal conduct must come to an end. The NSA s illegal spying is in complete
contrast with our constitution, the base of our society. According to the Cornell University Law
School, the fourth amendment states that:
[t]he right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against
unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon
probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be
searched, and the persons or things to be seized. Cornell U ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The constitution was created to provide the people with their rights. The amendment that protects
one s privacy, the fourth, is just like the right of free speech and the right to bear arms. It should
be equally respected, not infringed upon. The 4th amendment isn t the only idea that protects our
rights. Unlawful surveillance is also a key to breaking article I, section 9, clause 2 of the
Constitution: The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in
cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it. The NSA s illegal surveillance is
unabashedly insulting to our
