Abusive Relationships In The Movie
Yearly, referrals to state child protective services involve 6.6 million children, and around 3.2
million of those children are subject to an investigated report, (). This staggering statistic illustrates
the reality of abuse in the real world. Abuse is a wide spanning idea, and it manages to manifest
itself in several different forms. Throughout Damien Chazelle s 2014 film, Whiplash, the main
character trudges through a psychologically abusive relationship with the film s antagonist. Three
primary examples can be provided to prove this relationship including Andrew, the main character,
being persistent in seeking the main drummer role, Andrew s car crash, and Andrew seeking out
Fletcher after he is fired. This abusive relationship presses... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

During this scene Fletcher invites Andrew to play in his band due to needing more people. Fletcher
informs him of the music that will be played during the performance, but he changes the selection
as Andrew prepares to begin playing on stage. This leaves Andrew without any knowledge of what
music he needs to play, and it causes him to serve as a ridiculous figure in front of many critical
musical figures in the audience. This situation is one final detail which is telling about the abusive
relationship between the two. Fletcher uses this situation as a final instance of abuse against Andrew
despite his intentions being seemingly genuine at their meeting in the music club. In this scene
Fletcher is entirely willing to throw away all of the work that Andrew has put into his career up to
this point, and that includes all of the teaching that Fletcher has abusively forced upon Andrew in an
attempt to make him great. Some might argue that this is a way of Fletcher making Andrew prove
himself, but this can t be the case if Fletcher is willing to put all of Andrew s progression on the line
without any justification or reasonable opportunity for Andrew to succeed. This scene serves as
further evidence of the abusive relationship between the two, and it ultimately serves as Chazelle s
final attempt at driving the abusive relationship that exists throughout the entire

Getting A Little Too Close: Defying A Social Norm

Culture is what we make of it. The way we live in our country or in our own city can differ from
others; the way we eat, what we eat, how we talk, how we act, ect... (Henslin, 2013) In every culture
there are social norms, or unwritten rules that people in a culture comply with. To break a social norm
would be considered deviant; to defy the way everyone else does something. (Henslin, 2013) To
begin my research I decided to head to a local hot spot.
I found myself at a local Tim Horton s I observed many people walking in and out with their
coffees as I sat down and got myself situated. Quite a few people were busy trying to get their
coffee and run; although there were a number of people who chose to sit down and chat with
people. I observed the long line of people and as the line would dwindle down eventually more
people would come in from outside to replace those that left. I noticed on 3 occasions where 2
people would head to the undirected waiting line and one person would eventually ask the other ...

So I decided to break this control. After putting my things away in my car outside I went and
refilled my coffee and then found a seat next to a younger couple around my age or maybe
younger. As I sat down next to them I was immediately given glares of dissatisfaction with my
presence from both the male and female as their loud chatter dwindled down to silence. No words
were spoken to me but the male subject looked at the female subject and they both got up and left
the restaurant. I attempted this with a few more people and got similar results of silence and then
moving away from my
Question One. Alcohol Use Disorders (Aud) Is A Health...
Question One
Alcohol use disorders (AUD) is a health condition that is diagnosed when alcohol abusers use
alcohol to an enormous extent. AUD entails alcohol addiction, and many people who have AUD
struggle with alcohol consumption. This disorder is related to alcoholism, or alcohol abuse. The
symptoms of AUD include cravings, a strong need to have a drink during the week or weekends,
loss of control involving not being able to stop drinking, feeling out of control, shaking, anxiety,
withdrawals, and nausea. Alcohol tolerance is the most significant symptom of AUD because an
alcoholic will drink an enormous amount of alcohol to feel the effects. Tolerance has a lot to do with
the persons drinking history and genetic inheritance (Swift, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The alcoholic goes through a withdrawal period that can cause fatal symptoms. Severe symptoms
such as hematoma, pneumonia, meningitis, or infection involvement. Sometimes these symptoms
are misdiagnosed as medical and not AUD with alcoholics (Saitz, 1998). AWS is assessed by the
Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol SCALE Revised (CIWA Ar) (Baron, Garbely,
Boyd, 2009; Maldonado, 2010)
Question Three
Biotransformation occurs most often inside the liver Defining biotransformation. The digestive tract
is structured, so that chemicals are not absorbed, but pass directly into the circulatory system, but
filtered though the liver first. This is called the first pass metabolism (Devane, 2004). Chemicals
absorbed from the GI tract while passing though the liver, any toxins in a substance might be isolated
and the biotransformation takes place. Biotransformation can only take place if damage to the body
has not taken place. The last stage of biotransformation is the elimination stage. Basically,
biotransformation changes the substance to water soluble which can be removed from the
circulation of the organs by filtering the blood.
Question Four
Biotransformation is affected by alcohol abuse which can contribute to medical issues. An alcohol
abuser may suffer from malnutrition due to vitamin deficiency. The term avitaminotic is a person
with a vitamin deficiency, who uses alcohol in excessive amounts. Additionally, a heavy alcohol user

The Issue Of Mounting Debt
The lack of sales and higher costs mentioned above led to the obvious internal issue of mounting
debt. It is so obvious we will only touch briefly enough on it to mention that mounting debt to the
tune of over $340,000,000, nearly half that owed to the parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation,
proved to be an insurmountable mountain to scale (Szczesny, 2012). The last internal factor we will
discuss is hardly a negative aspect of Suzukis business, but it certainly fits the definition of an
internal factor that directly led to the decision to pull out of the States. This internal factor is
their success in other regions of the world. While market share in the U.S. plummeted to well
under 1%, Suzuki was doing quite well in other regions. They were the leader in India, a country
that accounted for 40% overall sales in early 2012 (Hagiwara Hagiwara, 2012). Other emerging
markets in Southeast Asia were strongholds for the company as well, believed to be because of
the smaller frame of their cars. In markets used to suffocating small roads, these small,
inexpensive and durable cars were in high demand. And because of the success in these non U.S.
markets the decision became clearer, as there was an alternative place to allocate resources. If other
successful markets hadn t existed it is easy to see how a decision to simply attempt to repair itself
and compete in the U.S. could have been justified.

Main Causes Of The Great Depression
The peak of the U.S. Stock Market in August 1929, which occurred due to an increase in stock
speculation, overshadowed the spiral towards the Great Depression. The main causes of the Great
Depression included the following: furlough of employees due to decrease in production,
procreation of debt, and a mass of bank loans, that were used to purchase stocks. Although the causes
of the Great Depressionseem pertinent to the Great Crash, they do not wholly encompass the event.
In actuality, the Great Crash began on October 18, which is when the stock prices began to decline.
Stockholders noticed the downturn, and many sold off stocks on October 24, Black Thursday. In
turn, investors and bankers bought a portion of the sold stocks to attempt stabilization

Time Spent And Attachment Research Paper
Time Spent and Attachment Daycare for infants at a young age can be a negative or positive thing.
Daycare is a place where parents can drop off their children knowing they are in a safe
environment. It is where they can trust the caregiver for the time being, while they are away at work.
While the childis at daycare they develop different type of skills that can help them cognitively,
physically, and emotionally. Most of the skills young children acquire at the daycare usually do not
pick up in their homes. In the daycare sitting, the children can be free in their environment,
experience more things, are and able to learn more by interacting with the people in their
environment. Since children in a daycare have more of an open environment... Show more content on

The child will feel betrayed and unloved, but once they spend time with another caregiver the
attachment they have for their parent will shift to the caregiver and the child will feel stable and
at ease again. As explained by Cummings (1980), children have accept caregivers as a
replacement for the mother, the child rarely cried or followed the mother when leaving. During the
time that is spent with the caregiver the child formed some sort of relationship. Once the parents
leave, the children hardly felt distraught. This suggests that the caregivers are more than strangers
to the children they feel like can trust them like their parents. The characteristics of a caregiver
helps the children feel at ease and feel safe again once the child is dropped off at the daycare.
According to Cummings (1980), when the child is left with their caregiver they had more a positive
response to the caregiver than to strangers. The stability of a caregiver does have an importance in a
child s life and relationship. In a more ecologically friendly environment, the results indicates that a
stable caregiver is the next best thing after the parent (Cummings, 1980). This proves that even
though the parent left the child with another caregiver they still have the same attachment they have
towards the parent to the caregiver; the feeling is mutual. The
Power As A General Political Science
Power in politics is a central concept, yet a contested one for a multitude of reasons. Chief among
them is its contested nature and disagreement among political scientists over the concept itself as
well as its operationalization. I refrain from further exploring the literature on power as a general
political scienceconcept and focus on its aspects related to negotiation. From an international
relationsperspective, realists for example, emphasize on the materialistic aspect of power; military,
economy and other measurable and quantifiable sources of power (Donnelly 24). Hans Morgenthau,
a classical realist, defines power as men s control over the minds and actions of other men , he
further states that a political power is the mutual relations of control among the holders of public
authority and between the latter and the people at large (32). This definition, to a degree, resonates
with power in negotiation since it focuses on one s ability to influence the perception and action of
others. This notion of power is relevant to negotiation in that either sides of a negotiation attempt
to influence the decision making of the other side(s). Keohane Nye s definition of power is closer
to Morgenthau. He defines power as the ability of an actor to get others to do something they
otherwise would not do (10). Roger Fisher defines power in terms of negotiation as the ability to
persuade someone to do something (182). These definitions do not emphasis on the outcome aspect

Case Study Of SARK Logistics
Introduction
The First Stone of SARK Logistics was placed down in 2008 as a Custom House Agent in Delhi.
After getting an optimistic response from its precious clients they took a step further and instituted
SARK LOSIGTICS as an international freight forwarder.
The SARK Logistics has a perfect lineup of logistics business units inside the field of
transportation, forwarding, distribution and other logistics services. It provides both types of
freight forwarding services, air freight forwarding and sea freight forwarding. If one starts
exploring for the words to define the quality of services offered by SARK Logistics, the terms like
unexampled and notable appear out to be most appropriate
The essence of their services lies in their technique where attention is paid to each and every possible
aspect. Their team of qualified and licit personnel handles Custom clearance via Documentation,

Its evident from the survey that the company s present customers got to know about it from other
exporters/importers or friends. Therefore it is important for SARK Logistics to amplify its
marketing activities and market itself through internet and newspapers/magazines. This would help
them increase its customers base especially when not many new customers have been added in the
last 3 years.
The company should make an effort to increase its customers particularly exporters as the number
of exporters are about half in relation to the number of exporters. Also with the Government
proposing to impose an anti dumping duty on the import of tyres, the company might lose its
customers who import tyres due to the duty affecting their imports. Additionally the company should
focus more on increasing its exporting customers as the Make in India campaign gains momentum
in the economy, there will be a chance of exports rising and thus it ll be easy to find customers who
are willing to
As An Audience That Enjoys Media Entertainment, We Find
As an audience that enjoys media entertainment, we find ourselves glued to the television every
year to see what commercials will appear during the Super Bowl. Last year s Super Bowl featured
various commercials that target particular audiences requiring a great deal of planning and
meticulous execution. Thus, audiences that enjoy these commercials become part of more than just
the game; they are given an opportunity to become part of a bigger picture by analyzing what
message the composer is attempting to persuade to the public. As I reflect on these commercials, I
want to understand what is being communicated to me to persuade me to act to buy a product. To

By utilizing the The Blue Link Car Finder (knmilke, par. 1), the father tracked his vehicle and
interjected himself into the picture; interfering with his daughter s date and intimidating the young
man. From a parent s perspective, I perceived the message to be about keeping your children out
of harm s way. If Hyundai s commercial is successful, it will entice parents to buy the car so that
they will know where their children are and if they are safe.
For this commercial, the target audience is parents. The Hyundai commercial uses comedy to
show parents how a car finder is a great tool for parents to know the whereabouts of their young
teens. It will give them a sense of security when their children are out and about with friends or on
dates. It could also help find the car if it is stolen.
While the message and target audience seem clear, there are a few additional things that you can
make assumptions about. At the beginning of the commercial: the boy s eyes get big as he is
looking at the daughter, indicating that he feels like he hit the jackpot; when the father comes from
behind the door, the boy turns his head and says YEP, indicating that he has no respect for the
father or where he lives; also, you hear a wolf howl indicating that the young man is a predator
looking for an easy score. An additional assumption that can be made about the wolf howling leads
you to believe that maybe the
