SUBJECT : Progress Report on Rape by Sexual Intercourse with
Use of a Deadly Weapon

1. References:
a. Spot Report on Rape by Sexual Intercourse with Use of a
Deadly Weapon dated June 3, 2025; and
b. Blotter entry no. 2025-06-0301 dated June 3, 2025.
2. This is a follow-up report regarding the Rape incident involving
suspect Reine Justin S. Gatdula, 25 years old, and victim Gladys F. Globio,
21 years old, occurred on June 3, 2025 at around 7:00 PM, in Barangay
Bulihan, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
3. The suspect was arrested at the scene by responding officers
SPO1 Mark James Padilla and PO3 Niño Sto. Domingo while in the act of
committing the crime. He was immediately placed under custody and
informed of his constitutional rights in accordance with the Miranda
Doctrine.
4. The victim was rescued and brought to Bulacan Medical Center for
medical attention. A Medical-Legal Examination revealed a deep vaginal
laceration and multiple hematomas on her arms and wrists, consistent with
force and physical restraint.
5. Sworn affidavits were secured from the victim and two
eyewitnesses, Jazel C. Dela Cruz and Miaca Jullian C. Quising. Their
testimonies consistently corroborated the victim’s narration and confirmed
the identity and actions of the suspect during the incident.
6. A Criminal Complaint for Rape by Sexual Intercourse under Article
266-A paragraph 1 in relation to Article 266-B paragraph 1 of the Revised
Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 8353, was filed before the
Office of the City Prosecutor of Malolos City on June 5, 2025. The case is
currently under preliminary investigation.
7. The Office of the City Prosecutor has issued subpoenas for the
parties involved. All supporting documents and pieces of evidence,
including medical findings and sworn statements, have been submitted for
proper judicial review.
8. The suspect is currently detained at the Malolos City Police Station
Custodial Facility while awaiting the resolution of the preliminary
investigation. He remains under strict supervision by duty custodial officers.
9. The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) has
been coordinated with to provide continuous trauma counseling and other
psychosocial services to the victim and her immediate family.
10. This station continues to monitor the legal proceedings and is in
coordination with the assigned Assistant City Prosecutor for the timely
issuance of a resolution and, if warranted, the filing of the corresponding
Information before the appropriate court.
