How has the content so far studied on the Bachelor of human resource management impacted your
thinking, attitude and generally conduct in society. Answer in 1000 words
Human resource management is a course designed to introduce students to the basic concepts, principles
and processes/activities/functions that form the human resource management profession. Human
Resources are people with relevant job competences (job competences is all about skills/knowledge
“knowledge is accumulated through education”) with experience (experience is measured in the
mastering the steps/ability “mental ability and physical ability
Me studying human resource management has impacted my way of thinking, attitude and general conduct
in the society as follows
 Studying the course of human resource management has helped me develop a more strategic and
analytical mindset (refers to the ability to use data and evidence to make decisions and solve
problems. It involves looking at information objectively and critically, and being able to draw
meaningful insights from data. They may use a variety of methods, like statistical analysis and
predictive modeling, to gain insights from data.), as I learn to view business problems in a human
resource perspective
 Studying the course of human resource management has helped me develop a more empathetic
(Being empathetic in HRM refers to the ability to understand and relate to the experiences and
emotions of others. It involves having compassion and being able to put oneself in someone else's
shoes. Empathetic HR professionals can build trust and rapport with employees, and they're able
to provide support and guidance in a way that's sensitive and understanding. Empathy is an
important skill for HR professionals, as it allows them to create a supportive and respectful

 Studying human resource management has helped me develop better communication and

professionalism (A sense of professionalism refers to the ability to conduct oneself in a
professional, ethical, and competent manner. It involves understanding and adhering to the ethical
and legal standards of the profession, as well as having a commitment to excellence and
continuous learning. Professionalism is important in HRM, as it helps to build trust, credibility, and
a positive reputation for the organization. Professional HR professionals are respectful, reliable,

 Studying the course of human resource management has enabled develop stronger decision
making skills as I learn to weigh the costs and benefits of different HR decisions like I learnt that if
a human resource manager recruits the right human resource but places him/her in a wrong
department, the person is not going to work effectively in the organization due to the wrong
decision a human resource manager made this costing the organization negatively
 Studying the course of human resource management has enabled me develop good managerial
skills (Managerial skills in HRM refer to the ability to plan, organize, and lead people and resources
to achieve organizational goals. It involves setting clear objectives, delegating tasks, and
motivating and supporting employees. HR professionals need managerial skills to be effective in
their roles, as they’re often responsible for managing teams and projects. Some common
managerial skills include project management, time management, and decision-making.) And one-
time Doctor lwanga Fred said “you can never manage what you can’t measure and you
cannot manage what you don’t know” and I really appreciated the words of wisdom but I never
understood what he meant by that.

problem-solving skills are essential for identifying and resolving issues that arise in the workplace.

entrepreneurial mindset are able to see the big picture and find new ways to create value for the
organization. They’re not afraid to take calculated risks, and they’re always looking for ways to

conduct in that before I do something I really think about it before making the decision and also
