Assignment Title: Social Media Presence Report for a Brand
Objective:
To assess and analyze the social media presence of a brand, understand how it engages with its
audience, and explore the effectiveness of its current marketing efforts.
Instructions:
1. Choose a Brand:
Select a brand that you use or are familiar with (e.g., a popular clothing brand, tech
company, food chain, etc.). It could also be a local brand or business with an active social
media presence.
2. Research the Brand’s Social Media:
Visit the brand’s official social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
Focus on their most recent posts and content strategies. Record at least 5-6 posts or
campaigns.
3. Report Structure:
The report should include the following sections:
o Introduction (100-150 words):
Briefly introduce the brand you have chosen.
Explain why you chose this brand and provide a short description of its social
media presence.
o Social Media Platforms Used (150-200 words):
List all the social media platforms the brand is active on.
Provide a short description of how the brand uses each platform (e.g.,
Instagram for visual content, Twitter for customer engagement, Facebook
for community building).
o Content Analysis (250-300 words):
Pick 3-4 recent posts or pieces of content (images, videos, stories, etc.) from
the brand’s social media.
Analyze the type of content: Is it promotional, educational, entertaining, or a
combination?
Evaluate the visual and textual elements (e.g., design, hashtags, captions) of
the posts.
Does the content seem to align with the brand’s voice and values?
o Audience Engagement (200-250 words):
Look at the engagement level for the posts you selected (likes, comments,
shares, etc.).
How does the brand engage with its audience (e.g., responding to
comments, running contests, sharing user-generated content)?
Does the brand actively promote interaction or is the engagement mainly
passive (e.g., likes without replies)?
o Overall Effectiveness (150-200 words):
Based on your analysis, rate the brand’s social media presence on a scale of
1-10, where 1 is poor and 10 is excellent.
Explain why you gave that rating. Does the brand’s social media strategy
seem effective in reaching its target audience and achieving its goals?
o Conclusion (100-150 words):
Summarize your findings.
Offer simple suggestions for improvement (e.g., posting more frequently,
using interactive features like polls or questions, improving content quality,
etc.).
Formatting Guidelines:
Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, and 1.5 line spacing.
The report should be between 800-1200 words in length.
Submit the assignment in PDF format.
