ABSTRACT:
Solar energy is a renewable energy source that's become more popular in recent years. This
project presents how Ohm's law and power equation can be used to make more power from
solar PV panels. It uses an automatic dual axis solar tracker system, which has one locked
vertical axis and one flexible horizontal axis that's controlled by a motor. The tracker always
tracks the sun and changes the position of the panels every 2-3 degrees to avoid power loss
caused by running the motor all the time. Sensors measure the light intensity of both sides of
the panels and move them towards each other. The panel keeps moving until the tracker sees
the same amount of light coming from both sides. This helps to increase the solar irradiance.
LITERATURE REVIEW:
• The crank shaft, fly wheel, and gear arrangement in Sasank Shekhar Panda's
paper offer a sustainable solution for power generation in crowded places
and rural areas. This technology has the potential to effectively address
power-related issues at an affordable cost. Moreover, the system's design
reduces the challenges associated with transmission, making it highly
suitable for hard-to-reach locations. However, it is important to note that
regular maintenance and lubrication are necessary to ensure its optimal
performance.
METHODOLOGIES:
• Detecting sunlight via Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs).
• Comparing the analog readings from the LDRs to decide which
direction the vertical servo should move.
• Positioning the solar panel to receive the most light possible.
