ABSTRACT:
This essay observes the life and art of Andrei Rublev, the most famous Russian iconographer, who
is canonized as a saint by the Russian Orthodox Church. Since Rublev is considered to be one of
the most influential iconographers from orthodox world, it is also important to observe and analyze
his most famous work. This work is the icon Trinity , which is also considered to be one of the
highest achievements in Russian art. In this essay I will analyze this specific icon s ... Show more

As mentioned before, Rublev s art is influenced by Byzantine and Greek art, and one of the main
reasons for this was Theophanes the Greek, a famous iconographer who came to Russia at the end of
14th century. The relationship between Theophanes and his pupil Rublev was enigmatic, he invited
Rublev and to work with him on the Annunciation Cathedral. Rublev later instigated his own style of
painting. The reason for this was the appearance of Hesychast trend, which was not approved by
Hellenic, humanist believers, while Russians had no problem in understanding and following the
Hesychast, and practically that was the point of the creation of Andrei Rublev s
Concrete Angel Poem
Child abuse is still a very prevalent issue in American society; however, it is not focused on in
popular media. Many witness the signs of child abuse, but seem to disregard it as an issue. The
overall physical, mental, and emotional well being of the victims is significantly impacted. Martina
McBride s Concrete Angel portrays the issue of child abusewith the characterization of a young girl
who displays both the more obvious physical signs of abuse in addition to the less observable
impacts on the child s mentality. Through the descriptions of the young girl and the paradox of a
concrete angel, the song attempts to evoke sympathy for victims of child abuse and ultimately to
condemn the bystanders who allow the abuse to continue.
The physical and mental signs of abuse described in the lyrics help to characterize the girl in a
sympathetic manner. It is clear the girl clearly depicts typical physical signs of child abuse since
she is Wearing the same dress she wore yesterday/She hides the bruises with the linen and lace,
(Bentley and Crosby, 2002, l 33). Victims of abuse, generally, attempt to hide the physical evidence;
however, specifically, the use of linen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The young girl s death was preventable, but people pushed the responsibility on to take the
initiative to another, which was exemplified by The teacher wonders but doesn t ask and The
neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights (Bentley and Crosby, 2002, l 5). These adults in the
song evoke feelings of anger because of their chosen inaction. They are painted as cold and
unfeeling, in other words, they have concrete hearts, which results in the death of the girl. The adult
bystanders are condemned for not stepping in and ignoring the girl. the bystanders. The anger the
reader feels toward the adults in the child s life evoke feelings of anger which help to sympathize

NASA Cries for Money Essay example
In Lee Billing s article, What Future for NASA, Billing discusses the past and present situation of
the NASA program and how over fifty years of running hasn t accomplished NASA very much. In
1958 the National Aeronautics and Space Act was signed allowing for NASA to be formed. This
lead to a major race which caught America s eye. The goal was to reach the Moon as quickly as
possible, not to develop a lasting ability to go there. After the race was won in 1969, America lost
interest. Even on NASAs 50th year anniversary, they were still unable to send astronauts beyond low
Earth orbit.

Fundings dramatically decreased and NASA is still struggling to pay for any advancements.

That mean no money for research, no new advancements, and no new technology for space.

In James Surowiecki s article, Big Space, Surowiecki discusses that in January of 2004 President
Bush unveiled his plan to establish a moon base and send a manned expedition to Mars. Bush
argued that it would advance in the understanding of the universe but he also stated that the
economic would benefit from this. Bush s plan sidesteps the budget question by proposing that
all the spending be backloaded. Even though we all know that the funding is being used
elsewhere, as stated in Billings article. In the first few years, the spending increases will be small,
but at some point a moon base and a Mars shot will cost hundreds of billions of dollars, and
someone will have to pay. Sure Bush gets credit for the big, bold idea, but his successors get the
bill. Which still means less money for NASA.

In Jeff Foust s article, How to Build a Better NASA, Foust discusses that Bush has given them the
shaft. Foust contradicts what Surowiecki stated in his article. Foust states that the economical and
political effects threaten NASA. He believes that if something isn t done now NASA wont survive,
but the focus of space exploration must return.

I m sure there are plenty of examples of movies that portray a picture of what most people think
NASA is. Unless something is done today NASA can never be able to have to chance to
Diary Of Kaamet Analysis
I was born on the month of Renwet, during the Fourth of Peret. My father used to tell me stories
of how both our moons fell on that day, an omen, an indication of prosperity and future success to
come. I never believed him, for I had never seen the moons fall. The planet of Kaamet has two
moons; the larger one named Khonsu, the smaller one named Iah. It is said that once every 500
years, these moons fall, and a new member of the royal family is born. The sky turns a deep, blood
red, with streaks of indigo and violet painting the sky. A vendetta of colour: raging, violent, yet
beautiful. The birthing ceremony was nearly perfect. The rites were performed by the highest
regarded priestesses of the kingdom, their incantations blending into... Show more content on

This man, as I would later find out, was my uncle Asim Khalfani, king of the Western kingdom. A
horn was blown, announcing his arrival, even though his presence seemed to fill up the entire
room. Asim strode over to where the king and queen were sitting. Brother , he exclaimed. It s
nice seeing you again! Father s face lit up at his brother s greeting. Yes Asim , he said, smiling. It
has been quite a while. But the festivities have started, and you are late! Come meet your niece.
Asim leaned over my cradle and kissed my forehead. He mumbled a prayer, blessing me, a tradition
for this occasion. It was at this moment that I knew that things would never be the same. As Asim
finished reciting the prayer, he tapped my forehead 3 times. Leaning in close, Asim pressed his lips
to my year and uttered three words that would change the course of Kaametian history: I. Will.
Similes In Sinners
There are many varying views of God and his abilities, that can be integrated differently into their
lifestyle. Jonathan Edwards touches on merging God into your life into his sermon, Sinners In The
Hands Of An Angry God. The sermon talks about God s fury caused by the sinful actions of
humans, and how they are doomed if they do not adjust their lives. Jonathan Edwards uses similes
about Gods wrath, diction that describes the definition of a sinner, and repetition about the pits of
hell to his advantage to make his readers realize they need to change their ways. Edwards usage of
similes in his poem is mostly used to show how mighty God s wrath and power truly is. He
compares God s wrath to great waters that are dammed for the present; they increase more and
more, and rise higher and higher, till an outlet is given; and the longer the stream is stopped, the
more rapid and mighty is its course, when once it is let loose (Edwards). The quote helps people
to imagine God s wrath in a physical sense as being held back by a dam on the verge of bursting.
Similes allow Edwards to help his readers understand how angry God truly is and also God s
authority. Edwards simile is supposed to scare readers into becoming better Christians. To further
make his point about how worthless humans are to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Edwards use of the mere pleasure of God is to restate his point throughout the poem that
everything is done under God (Edwards). Edwards use of this phrase not only restates God s
power but also show the reader that have life because of God. God could easily take their life away
if they anger him and continue their sinful actions. This would terrify readers into behaving as God
would like, so they do not continue to anger him. Repetition helps to escalate the text and create a
bigger impact on the
Nintendo Gamecube Research Papers
Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube came out in 2001 and since then has
gained a huge following in the realm of eSports. The game consists of two players fighting for
control over the stage. When your opponent hits you with a move, your percent goes up by a
specific amount and you are knocked back. The next time you get hit, you get knocked back a little
further. The object of the game is to get the other player out of the box of the map. This basic
concept produced a grassroots community around the world that holds tournaments with anywhere
from a dozen players crowded around one CRT television to more recent grand scale tournaments
held in stadiums with thousands of entrants. As the community grew, it was clear that a few players
stood out from the rest. These players... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, all of this changed with one swedish player, William Leffen Hjelte. Leffen is seen as
the villain of the competitive smash scene, mainly due to his rude and vulgar attitude in and out
of the game, but also because he did what no other player can do. Competitive smash was changed
forever when Leffen took out every god of melee and similarly when SFAT showed his major
improvements in 2016. Leffen s first win over a god happened at Apex 2014 when he beat
Hungrybox, a Jigglypuff player who was ranked 5th in the world at the time. This victory put the
otherwise unknown Leffen on the radar of the smash scene and began his journey to the top
(Rogowski). The next god Leffen had his sights on was Armada. Leffen, being a fellow swedish
player, had faced off with him plenty of times before but was never able to surmount the wall that
is Armada; a player that has not dropped a set to a non god in the last four years at the time. At the
european tournament, Beast 4, Leffen suffered an early loss to a player named Ice that sent him into
the loser s bracket. However, Leffen
Critical Factors for Iso 9001 Critique
Critique Critical factors for effective implementation of ISO 9001 in SME service companies ,
(Psomas at al. 2010, p. 440 457)

Introduction The paper in review is part of the Journal Managing Service Quality which was
published in 2010. At the time of publication the authors were researching for the University of
Ioannina in Greece1 (Psomas, et al., 2010, p. 457). Evangelos Psomas was a Research Assistant and
received a PhD in Total Quality Management (TQM) in 2008 (Psomas, et al., 2010, p. 457).
Christos Fotopoulos is a fulltime Professor (University of Ioannina, 2012) and Dimitrios
Kafetzopoulos was a PhD candidate for Food Quality Management (Psomas, et al., 2011a, p. 460).

454).

With the research questions in scope the Concept Map in Figure 1 demonstrates little evidence of
literature review referring to past critical factors assessments. It was discovered by reviewing the
author s previous studies that 90% of the critical factors are re used from Fotopoulos, et al. (2009,
p. 900) HACCP4 research. Hence, other researcher s findings on critical factors are not considered
in this study.

It is not clear if 11.8 percent of non SMEs are exluded by Psomas, et al. (2010, p. 446), who define
SMEs by the European Commission (2003) recommendation, but do not consider annual turnover (p.
39) in their exlusion criteria.

With the limitation on quality managers the study results show continuous improvement to be of
major importance (Psomas, et al., 2010, p. 447) which is biased by quality managers interests while
other author s similar studies including the whole population of companies indicate top
management commitment as most important (Quazi Padibjo, 1998, p. 494; Calisir, 2007, p. 584;
Zeng, et al., 2007, p. 246; Al Najjar, 2011, p. 122).

Main concern of the research is the little variation of all critical factors ranging from 3.64 to 6.00
(lowest to highest mean) on the seven point scale and it appears that the majority of factors are of
high importance. Still Psomas, et al. (2010, p. 447) attempt to group factors into differentiated

WHAT ARE YOU TO DO WHEN LOOKING LIKE YOU DO IS NOT BEAUTIFUL? Beautiful.
Everyone wants to look beautiful, but who determines what beautiful is? Being ugly is a problem
that everyone fears. Getting under the knife on a surgical table is an answer to the problem.
Eating an apple and only an apple, once a day is the other answer to the problem. The problem of
not looking beautiful is slowly wiping out the naturally beautiful men and women. What are you to
do when looking like you do, is not beautiful? A great amount of people go to this extent because of
what influence them the most parents, boys/girls, lovers, and friends tell them. Someone who does

Declarations like Food is poison and diet Coke is love are the reasons why girls that are suppose
to weigh 130, are weighing 100. At Spring Break, there are wet T shirt contests, Mardi gras

boys who are looking to have sexual contacts, these young and witless girls will lose weight
dramatically, even if it cost them their health. After the teen aged female stated the issue she had
with the boy s album, she states This just makes me want to lose so much weight and then have
those guys see me. I hate boys, I hate my body, (p490). No one should feel like this, but
unfortunately living in this American society, a lot of people do feel this way. After taking a
glimpse of what Finding My Eye Dentity , More and More Young Women Choose Surgical

slowly wiping out our naturally beautiful females and males. Parents, girls/boys, lovers, and friends
are very influential in our lives. However, how much can we let someone else control the way we
look? Beautiful is different and comes in different shape, color, and size. If we continue to place
models and actresses/actors on a pedestal, then nothing will change. Women and men will continue
to perfect their body. Beautiful. Everyone wants to look beautiful,
