"Clear visuals and great task feature"
What do you like best about Missive?

I like Missive's visual layout - I think it's very clear and appealing. One of the features I’ve found most useful is the task function - being able to assign tasks and be assigned tasks has made a big difference to how I manage my workload. This is a great improvement compared to the previous email software I used, and it has integrated seamlessly into my everyday work.

The recent addition of the Sent view has also been really helpful in keeping my own emails separate and easy to track, though I think there’s still room for improvement with that function. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Lately, the Sent feature has not been functioning as expected and no longer separates my personal sent messages from All Sent, which can be quite confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Team Adoption and Enhanced Client Communication"
What do you like best about Missive?

What I appreciate the most is how easy it was for the whole team to adopt, we’re faster, more consistent, and more aligned in how we communicate with clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Missive doesn’t yet support email sequences, which would be a game-changer for account management and sourcing. It’s the one feature keeping me from fully replacing our CRM. Hopefully it’s on the roadmap! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great support and email management tool for team/org shared inbox"
What do you like best about Missive?

I like using Missive because it helps our team keep all our emails in one shared inbox. Everyone can see messages, assign a colleague to take care of an email, and reply from a single email address, which makes work faster. They usually update the system from time to time with new features to make it better. Their support team is great at clarifying questions/inquiries and providing tailor fit answers. Our transition from Gmail to Missive was easy even for those that are not super tech-savvy people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

I still have a few email feature related questions that aren't there yet but are possible with CRMs and a few limitations with integrations through Zapier without using webhooks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Missive made adding an assistant easy"
What do you like best about Missive?

I've been thrilled with Missive, since I started using it for my small business a few months ago. I was nervous that it would be too difficult and complicated but the opposite is true. It's extremely intuitive and easy to figure out.

Missive has all the functionality I need to bring an assistant on board. One of my favorite features is how I can save template responses and quickly pull them into an email with a hashtag and the title. It saves me so much time. I also use something they call Labels, which are like folders and very useful for keeping my inbox tidy.

Plus, the customer support is fantastic, which is incredibly reassuring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

I haven't found much yet that isn't helpful. I came across a small bug recently where emails were coming into my inbox in duplicate but the customer support team fixed that very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Missive Transformed Our Teamwork, But Search Needs Major Improvement"
What do you like best about Missive?

Honestly, Missive is just really practical. Our team was a mess before, and now it's not.

The main thing is that our shared inboxes (support@, info@, etc.) aren't confusing anymore. Before, we'd all be in there, and we had no idea who was replying to what.

Now, it's simple:

Chat in the email: If I'm not sure about a reply, I just @ my boss in a chat panel on the side of the email. We figure it out, and I send the reply. No forwards, no separate Slack messages. It’s all just attached to the one conversation.

Assigning tasks is obvious: A new email comes in. My boss assigns it to me. It's mine. Everyone else on the team can see it's mine, so they don't touch it. It’s impossible to have two people reply to the same customer.

It cleans up my day: I use "snooze" all the time. If I can't deal with something until tomorrow, I hit snooze, and it just comes back tomorrow. My inbox stays clean, and I don't forget. I also use their templates for common questions, which saves me a ton of time.

That's basically it. It just took our messy, shared email problems and made them simple. It works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

But the search... it's a nightmare.

Seriously, trying to find a specific past email is awful. If you don't know the exact subject line or person, good luck. It's clunky, slow, and I often just give up and go find the email in my old Gmail account, which completely defeats the purpose.

So, for managing what's happening right now, it's great. For finding anything that happened more than a week ago? It's genuinely terrible. We just live with it because the day-to-day collaboration is so much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The backbone of our communication, just waiting for its own AI evolution"
What do you like best about Missive?

What I like best about Missive is how it brings structure and logic to what would otherwise be chaos. It’s not just an inbox; it’s an operational layer that connects communication, automation, and collaboration in one clean interface.

As a social media agency managing dozens of brand accounts, we use Missive as the backbone of our entire DM and comment management system. It integrates seamlessly with Make.com and allows us to automate classification, reply generation, FAQ extraction, influencer vetting, and even spam filtering, all while keeping the human touch intact.

The shared inbox setup, message assignment, and internal comments make teamwork feel natural and transparent. It’s one of the few tools that scales with complexity instead of breaking under it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Missive has an incredibly strong foundation, it’s stable, intuitive, and powerful enough to handle complex team communication. The only thing I’d love to see evolve is its own AI capabilities.

Right now, we build most of our automation and AI layers externally through Make.com, which works great, but it would be amazing if Missive had more native AI tools for message classification, auto-replies, or workflow suggestions directly inside the platform.

The structure is already there, if Missive expanded its AI side, it could easily become the ultimate communication hub for agencies like ours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Team Communication and Organization"
What do you like best about Missive?

I like the ability to communicate with my team on a thread and keep it together so all the information is right there to refer back to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

The only thing I can think of is that you can't move a conversation only thread to a label/folder. Other than that, I have not dislikes about Missive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tagging and Task Features Make Collaboration Effortless"
What do you like best about Missive?

The fact that I can tag people into the conversation is the best feature for me. I also like to have separated things that are more general and others that are assigned just to me. I also enjoy the Task feature, so I can remember to do something by a certain due date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

It's not as easy to find threads of conversation as in Gmail, for example. Sometimes I have to cross Missive with Gmail to go exactly to that email that is older. I also get confused when there's (1) new notification and it takes me some time to find where this is (for example, "hidden" in the Rooms section or in other sections that I don't use often). "Personal Tags in Missive: A Game-Changer for Email Organization and Workflow"
What do you like best about Missive?

I've been using Missive for several months now, and one of the features that has truly transformed the way I handle my inbox is personal tags. This functionality allows me to organize my emails in a way that makes sense to me, without affecting how my team members see or manage the same conversations.

The flexibility of creating custom tags for specific projects, priorities, or follow-ups has made my workflow much more efficient. I can instantly filter my inbox based on these tags, which saves me a lot of time and mental effort. Whether it's labeling emails for "Urgent", "Read Later", or "Client Feedback", I now have a clear overview of what needs attention and when.

I especially appreciate that these tags are personal, meaning they don’t clutter up the shared team space. It’s a simple but powerful feature that helps me stay focused and organized in a collaborative environment.

Overall, personal tags in Missive are a small detail that makes a big difference. Highly recommended for anyone looking to gain more control over their email workflow! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

I’ve been using Missive for a while now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best email and team communication tools I’ve worked with. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the combination of email, chat, and task management in one platform makes it incredibly efficient for daily use.

One of the standout features for me is how smooth collaboration is — shared inboxes, internal comments on emails, and real-time chat make working with a team feel effortless. It’s also highly customizable, with features like personal tags, rules, and integrations that fit perfectly into different workflows.

So far, I haven’t come across any real downsides or areas that need improvement. Everything works reliably, and the platform feels well thought-out in both design and functionality. It's clear the team behind Missive has put a lot of care into building a product that truly supports productivity.

Highly recommended for both individuals and teams looking for a better way to manage email and communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Missive: Excellent Communication Hub with Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about Missive?

Missive is an excellent central communication tool, especially if you have multiple remote team members who need to communicate not only within their own department but also with other departments. Keeping all threads and chats together has saved us a great deal of confusion and eliminated the need to search for information in different places.

The tech support team is outstanding—they are quick to address outages and bugs that occasionally arise. They respond promptly and will either help resolve the issue or work with you to find a workaround until a permanent fix is available.

Overall, it’s a fantastic team and product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Our dislikes about Missive are relatively minor, such as the challenge of avoiding duplicate emails or creating rules that might conflict with each other. Additionally, features like the ability to pin emails to the top of the inbox would be incredibly helpful for keeping teams organized and ensuring important information is easily accessible. Another improvement we would appreciate is a way to "ping" or "@" specific departments. For instance, if operations needs to inform sales of a change, it would be great to have a way to notify them directly within the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
